This is the final thread I'll be staying close to as we near this year's Hearts Release event.

Feel welcome to add your babies' names to be included.
Feel welcome to tag or share this with people who might benefit from the chance of having their beloved babies included in a meaningful event.
Feel welcome to attend if you are able - it is FREE.

Each year, we can share our babies' names or nicknames to be handwritten onto a teeny, degradable paper heart that later can grow into flowers. Our babies' names are handwritten throughout the year by the founder of stillbirthday, Heidi Faith. Each year, we select a special location and hold a simple but meaningful ceremony, where the Hearts are released. Each year also weaves in a symbolic emphasis: 2023 is our 12th (dozen) year, so we will be near Egg Harbor, Wisconsin. We will board a special boat at Sister Bay, and from the boat we will release the hearts together.

You are invited to share your beloved babies' names below. All sibling groups of babies not alive are handwritten together onto a single heart. On the other side, another baby's name is written - just like our community, we hold each other up, from all over the world, even if we don't know who we each are.

Event Details:
6:30pm Sister Bay Tours
Saturday August 5

The boat can hold over 100 people. No RSVP is needed. This event is for anyone impacted by pregnancy and infant loss and those who love us. We have an event page for this 2023 Hearts Release too if you'd like to connect that way.

August 5 at 6:30PM
Sister Bay Tours
Sister Bay, Wisconsin

We will board a private, double-decker boat, and honor our beloved babies and our healing journeys with our 12th annual
stillbirthday Hearts Release.

It is FREE to attend if you are able.
ALL families, couples, and parents impacted by pregnancy and infant loss are welcome to attend.

Until then, PLEASE keep sharing about the FREE opportunity for all families to include their beloved babies' names, to be handwritten onto teeny, degradable paper hearts.

Also, if you are interested, here is a tee shirt:

I feel like we will always remember which state is Wisconsin from now on, given the silhouette of the mom blowing Hearts into the heavens. Her hand is the peninsula (where Egg Harbor and Sister Bay are), which is right where we will be.

October is Infant loss awareness month,
This year we have chosen to write your babies names on rocks, and scatter them at the river.

Please comment on this post or private message me if you would like your babies name included.

Every year we release thousands of teeny, degradable paper hearts that are handscribed with our beloved babies’ names. It is free to include your babies’ names. It is free to attend. You can follow along our page for event details and for sharing your beloved babies’ names online.

The stillbirthday annual Hearts Release is October 15, 2021.

Every day, the founder of stillbirthday handwrites the names of our beloved babies who are not alive, onto teeny paper hearts that later can grow into flowers.

It is always free to include your beloved babies' names - you can share them right here in this thread if you'd like, and each will be included.

And, it is always free to attend the event, if you are able and would like to. These are intimate events; only those who especially want to witness the release firsthand make the trek to do so, and so we like to make announcements for those to follow along and prepare.

So this little picture is just a little "save the date" if you'd like to plan to attend, or would just like to follow along the updates here on the page.

As doulas, we see a lot of Obstetrical Gaslighting, and, for the families we serve, we're calling it out.

What does it mean to be a Bereavement Doula?

For me, it means helping families navigate their way through their own unique grieving process.

No two families are the same, no two journeys are the same and no two losses are the same. Supporting families through every step, regardless of gestation, is what I have been called to do.

If you or someone you know has been through a pregnancy or infant loss, do not hesitate to reach out to me. You do not have to face your loss alone, and you have every right to a safe space for your feelings.

With love,
