We remind folks all the time to do blink exercises while in the computer or reading, now we need to add "get up and move!" to the list. The study found: "Sedentary behavior without computer use was significantly linked to highly symptomatic dry eye. . . "

In a Dutch population, greater sedentary behavior was associated with an increased risk of DED, but data suggest the association was only significant for those with less than recommended physical activity.

Heads up! There's an immediate recall of EzriCare Eyedrops (sold at Walmart and Amazon). One person died and at least one person permanently lost their vision. These drops were contaminated with a very serious and resistant bacteria.

In general, try to stick to name brand drops (and use coupons if you're looking to save money - rather than generics).

At least one person has died, and others were blinded, after using the over-the-counter artificial tears, the CDC said.
