We learned about capillary action in plants with this experiment during last year's Spring Discovery Camp. If you haven't signed up your young explorer for new science experiments during this year's Spring Discovery Camp, please visit the link in our bio for more information!

Colorful Capillary Action in Plants:
Step 1 - Support local and call up your nearest flower shop to purchase some white carnations.
Step 2 - Add some food coloring to a few jars filled with water.
Step 3 - After cutting off some of the stem, add flowers to water stem down.
Slowly, but surely the flowers will start to show some of the color added to the wait. The longer it sits, the more color appears!
