One of the most common answers was the fear of being seen or perceived. Growing and living in the age of social media it’s hard not to be seen when a lot of times in order to get opportunities you have to put yourself out there.

Is there a way to reclaim art that was never meant or made for you but made about you?

is reclaiming her Puerto Rican culture by starring, co-writing and co-producing the film A West Side Story Story. A film made by Puerto Ricans for Puerto Ricans and the world.

We talked about the reclaiming of a west side story for Latinos, hopefully seeing Latinos not be type casted or placed into roles such as the Latino James Bond, rather stories that showcases the diaspora of the Latino culture. Latinos are so much more than a west side story 🇵🇷
