Boldly Bicultural isn’t a program to “fix” or rush your healing. It’s a container where you can slow down and be real about what you’re carrying with people who actually understand the context. Across past cohorts, I’ve watched people begin to trust themselves more. They stop second-guessing every boundary. They feel less alone in the grief, guilt, anger, and love they’re holding at the same time. And again and again, I hear: “Oh… it’s not just me”

Community, language, and shared meaning are not luxuries in times like these. They’re stabilizers.

It’s a weird time to be promoting something but I was encouraged and pushed by past particpants who felt like this community was exactly what they needed to meet the current moment in a way that felt good and right.

If you’ve been feeling like: “I’ve done a lot of work already, but something still feels unresolved,” or “I’m tired of carrying this quietly,” or even “I don’t know exactly what I need, I just know I can’t keep doing this alone,” This might be the right time to join this community. I also know that investing in yourself can feel like a big ask, especially right now.

While scholarship and sliding scale spots have been filled (I allot 20% of spots to these), I want to offer a discount for this cohort to help make this feel more accessible and supported.

Comment BOLD for the details and application. We’re closing apps in a few days and they’re filling up!

A love letter to all of the parentified children out there from a therapist and parentified kid.

I love the work I do, and this is something that’s come up in my community programs and client work and speaking engagements time and time again. You’re enough!

If you’re interested in joining the THIRD cohort for my next Boldly Bicultural program, a community program facilitated by me over several months with an intimate group, apply by commenting BOLD!

We explore these specific roles you learned and you deserve to invest in your healing and community care. Let me help you and meet others like you on this journey ❤️

Even I couldn’t understand Bad Bunny and I felt the joy and cultural touchstones highlighted in his show… reinforcing the idea that cultural pride can exist in belonging and doesn’t have to mean erasure. Our stories matter. Our voices matter.✨

It’s confusing to grow up being the one who fixes everything — but never the one who gets listened to. For many of us. parentification meant being pushed into adult roles early, like raising siblings, translating paperwork, managing crises, or carrying your parents’ emotions. It taught you to grow up fast. But alongside this, infantilization meant your voice and choices were dismissed as naive, ungrateful, or disrespectful.

This is a common recurring theme in my work and that’s why the third cohort of Boldly Bicultural, a 12 week community program (that I lead) with a small group of adult children of immigrants is focused on family dynamics and intergenerational healing. Because what you inherit still shows up today. Because you can learn to have different relationships. And because you’re definitely not alone in your experiences.

My three month, one of a kind community program is back with the third cohort on Feb 19! Scholarship and sliding scale apps close TOMORROW and general apps close next week.

This program is only getting stronger and better with feedback from past participants. And because the second cohort was so successful, I’m keeping the same theme: Family dynamics and intergenerational healing💕

As a therapist and daughter of immigrants, I know there aren’t many accessible resources that embody all of your cultural values, norms and expectations. Maybe you’re not sure of what you’re struggling with and are trying to figure out the language to help you express your experiences.

It’s why I created Boldly Bicultural, my three month one of a kind community program focused on family dynamics and generational healing — here to support you every step of the way. It includes 13 hours of live lectures and community discussions with Sahaj, 8 hours of unstructured community conversation and virtual hangouts, 3 40+ workbooks for continued learning and a private and ongoing discord chat with past alumni!

SCHOLARSHIPS and sliding scale apps CLOSE tomorrow Feb 4! Regular apps close next week!

Right now, I’m seeing a lot of generational survival instincts surface for a lot of first- and second-gen immigrants — like the urge to stay quiet, to not rock the boat, to be careful, grateful, obedient. To say, ‘I’m fine’ even when you’re not. To ignore the trauma responses flaring up.

These survival strategies are inherited and passed down through families who learned, often the hard way, that safety was conditional and visibility came with risk.

Because what is happening for so many of us… is not new.

As I rounded out my second cohort of Boldly Bicultural with our closing call this past Sunday, I was struck by how so many of us need to really examine what we learned growing up — the strengths and the trauma, the survival patterns — in order to reckon with who we want to be in the moment we’re living in.

With the encouragement of alumni from the program I am running a this cohort starting next month. I believe in this work and want to invite you to join the next intimate group of folks who I’ll lead through a three month program of navigating family dynamics and intergenerational healing and patterns.

Comment BOLD to get the link to apply. Applications are still open for another week — scholarship and sliding scale are available for accessibility.
