I had the absolute honor of doing this shoot for my best friend Shannon and her baby girl Oaklynn to celebrate their birthdays (both have the same birthday 🥰) and I have to admit, editing these pics gave me all the feels.
We also got some pics with her mom and her other daughter, creating some very special shots that they can carry with them forever.
Shannon and I have evolved so much together in the 6ish years we’ve known each other. It was so special being able to capture these photos of her as a mom now, while I’m now pregnant, it’s just… *cries*. (This pregnancy has me so f emotional 😭)
But aside from Shan being special to me, there’s just something about capturing women in general that’s so special, and even more when it’s involving their children. It’s something I can’t put into words, and my pregnant ass is really about to start crying just typing this caption out.
It makes me feel some type of way when I’m entrusted with such important photos. These are the ones we have engrained in our memories forever, and when loved ones pass, they are cherished even more. 🥹 because of this reason I take all of my family shoots this seriously — because it’s not just outfits and pretty faces, it’s love and life being captured forever.
