🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 – We Will Never Forget 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11th, 2001.
We honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless heroes who answered the call that day—firefighters, police officers, EMS professionals, and everyday citizens who showed extraordinary courage.

As first responders, we carry their legacy with us every day. We stand united in remembrance, in service, and in our commitment to protect and care for our community.

May we never forget the sacrifice, bravery, and resilience that emerged from one of our nation’s darkest days. We also pray for continued strength, healing, and peace for our nation and for all who still carry the weight of that day in their hearts.

Yesterday marked an important step forward for our community! Haywood County EMS now has a fully staffed EMS unit at Haywood County EMS/Fire Station located at 3427 Hwy 222 in Stanton, TN, working side by side with Haywood County Fire.

This collaboration brings faster response times, expanded coverage, and stronger support for the Stanton/BlueOval area. We are excited to work together with Haywood County Fire and build a strong partnership that puts the health and safety of our citizens first.

🚑🚒🔥 Thank you to the Haywood County Fire Department, especially Kyle Cathey and Lilli Callens, for installing smoke detectors in our temporary EMS station while renovations are underway at our building.

We’re grateful for the partnership and teamwork that keeps both our crews and our community safe. 🙌

(Plus, now we can officially burn popcorn at 2 a.m. without worrying. 😉)

Haywood County EMS was out serving our county and community last night at the Haywood Middle School football game. We’re always proud to support our schools and stand by our neighbors both on and off the field. Thank you Misty and McKenna for representing us. 🏈🚑

Kaley was part of our very first EMR class, and we’re proud to share that she has passed her National Registry and is now a licensed Emergency Medical Responder! 🚑👏 She’s not stopping there—this fall, Kaley will continue her EMS career by attending EMT-Basic!💪
Way to go, Kaley—we can’t wait to see all you accomplish!

As of today, Haywood County EMS is proudly continuing our mission by focusing on calls throughout the county. While the city coverage has transitioned, our commitment hasn’t changed — we remain fully staffed, fully prepared, and fully dedicated to providing exceptional pre-hospital care to the people of Haywood County.

We’ve been doing this for over 50 years, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon.

It’s already been a busy day, and our crews have hit the ground running — not only responding throughout the county, but also assisting with calls inside the city limits when the need arose.

Wherever we’re needed, we’re there. 🚑💜
