Yesterday was my Aunt’s birthday. She should have been turning 72. It’s been 12 years since she died and I miss her every day. She was strong and passionate and stubborn and fun. She lived and loved hard. And she died too soon and too suddenly.
In my family, we keep part of our loved ones’ ashes. We design a special place for them to be held and we honor them on our altars. Death is a part of life. It’s not meant to be hidden away in the shadows.
Happy birthday, Auntie. I hope they have spring skiing wherever you are ❤️🤍💙⛷️♾️
