My mom is having another surgery this morning Transurethral resection of the bladder tumors (TURBT) to remove multiple lesions in her bladder found recently. The surgeon feels certain they are the same type of cancer that was in her kidney. Please keep my family and I in your thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate all of you that have supported us emotionally, spiritually, and financially during this journey.

My Mom's Cancer / Kidney Removal update:

First of all, on behalf of our entire family, we would like to thank you all once again, for your prayers, kind words, encouragement and support.

You have truly helped us through this difficult time knowing so many of you care so much for us.

I am very happy to say, that DiAnn is cancer free! Her surgery went very well. She spent a total of 18 days in the hospital which was much longer than expected. The doctors were very concerned about sending her home with her blood pressure being so low (68/32 for example). She wasn't symptomatic but they still wanted to get her blood pressure back up to her norm which is low (mid 90s / mid 50s) for most people. Once her blood pressure was up the doctors wanted her to stay for physical therapy rehab which was a long process which she is now continuing in the comfort of her home with my dad's support.

The reason we set up this YouCaring Campaign is to assist my parents with the financial burden of medical bills along with day to day living expenses as my mom continues her recovery from the nephroureterectomy (kidney removal surgery). The medical bills have begun coming in for the chemotherapy treatment, surgery procedure and extended hospital stay. Shortly after this journey began the man my mom had been working private duty nursing with, passed away so her job ended.

Soooooo I'm asking for some help in any monetary amount that you are willing and able to help with. Those of you that know me, know that me asking for help isn't an easy thing for me to do but I'm praying that God will guide those that want to and can help financially to help. If you aren't able to donate, we understand completely - please just continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers - it really does help myself and my parents so much more than you know.

many many many thanks and heartfelt appreciation,

Garrett Lueck (DiAnn's and Donnie's Son)
