Transformation isn’t always dramatic.
More often, it’s quiet. Subtle. Repetitive.

It’s practicing a new boundary.
Noticing a trigger sooner.
Recovering a little faster.

If it feels slow, that doesn’t mean it isn’t working.
Growth that lasts is usually built in small, steady moments.
If this helps, you're welcome to follow and share with someone who needs it.

It’s true — in times of uncertainty, we can still grow.
Sometimes more than at any other point in our lives.

You probably didn’t choose this path. I wouldn’t choose it for you either. But here it is.

Research shows that alongside post-traumatic stress, many people also experience something called post-traumatic growth after cancer and other traumas.

Not because it’s good.
Not because it was meant to happen.
But because humans adapt in remarkable ways.

Growth can look like:
• A clearer understanding of yourself
• Deeper compassion for others
• Living more aligned with your values than your “shoulds”
• A sharper sense of what truly matters

. And it’s real.

If you’re in the middle of it, you don’t have to feel strong.
Just breathe in.
Breathe out.
That’s enough for right now. 💛

My clients who have cancer often feel overwhelmed -- by the reality they are living with, by the fears they are facing, by the decisions they need to make....

When we are under so much stress, our minds and brains don't seem to work very well.

A way to get a semblance of calm amidst the chaos is to come back to the here and now, to review your priorities, and to focus on the things that are within your control.

Feelings can be hard to live with, can't they? The hard ones sometimes get buried deep. But they don't disappear — they wait, quietly bubbling under the surface.

In my work with women facing breast cancer, I sometimes hear a hidden fear:
“If I let myself feel how scared I am… will I somehow make it happen?”

As if fear itself has the power to create the outcome.

It doesn’t. You are not that powerful — and that’s a relief.

Feelings are not magic spells. They are signals.

When we stop fighting them and give them room to breathe, something surprising happens: they move. They soften. They lose some of their intensity.

Letting yourself feel won’t make bad things happen. It might actually make you feel better.💛

Thank you for being here. At , I share what I’ve learned from years of working as a therapist with women facing cancer.

If this resonated, feel free to share it with someone who might need it today.

When we are overwhelmed, one of the best ways to get our feet back on the ground is to focus our attention on what is important and that is in your hands, right here, right now.

Many of my clients who are living with illnesses experience overwhelm. The situation is overwhelming. The decision are overwhelming. Figuring out what next step to take feels overwhelming.

A lot is out of our control. Focusing on those things is not a path to peace. You'll get there, one step at a time. Take a beat. Breathe. Then focus on what is in your control and what is important to you right now.

Thanks for being here with me, . I wish you peace. I hope this helps. If it did, share with a friend.

We live in a do-do-do, go-go-go world.
No wonder so many of us feel burned out.

We aren’t meant to run at full speed all the time.
Our bodies, minds, and emotions need space to reset.

Sometimes rest looks like taking a break.
Sometimes it looks like saying no.

It’s okay to pause.
You don’t have to earn your rest.

Many of my clients have a cancer diagnosis. It is not easy. But they keep moving forward, one day, one minute, one breath at a time.

Moving forward is showing up in the little ways. And sometimes it means bowing out and opting for rest instead.

Some days are heavy. You are not alone.
