The newborn stage, month #1, is a lot of on and off sleeping. Getting baby to eat full feedings throughout the daytime hours will help stretch those chunks of sleep at night. Do not stress about this in those first few weeks, rather keep in mind and use as a guide. So much growth is happening every second.🖤

📝 Tip: keep a notepad by your bed and record feedings and sleep.

📚 I started reading little board books from the beginning mostly because I enjoyed this part. It’s never too early.

🕰Don’t worry about the timing of bedtime routine at this stage, just try to establish one.

Something I’ve noticed over the years…
After week one, once baby/child is beginning to regulate their sleeping habits(get better sleep), their eating habits sky rocket. So be prepared, especially if baby spends time with another care taker. Pack extra milk, nourishing food, etc. Don’t be surprised, if by midday, little one has finished all of their food they would normally have had over a full day. They are growing so much during sleep. Growth spurts mean more nourishing food, please! 🍼🥦🍌🫘🥝🥑🍓🥥🍉🥒🫐
