Today is World Tuberculosis Day. 😷🦠Here are some important facts to know about the TB virus:
🦠Without treatment, 1 in 10 people with inactive TB will get sick with active TB, which spreads through air and can infect anyone.
🦠You may be at risk for TB even if you have received the TB vaccine because its protection weakens over time.
🦠 Treating active TB is significantly harder and more costly than treating inactive TB. Treating inactive TB is arguably the most powerful tool we have for eliminating the TB disease.

Spread awareness about this important topic so we can continue the important work of eliminating Tuberculosis worldwide!

While it is crucial to tend to your loved one’s needs and safety during this time, be sure to be mindful of your own health. A caregiver affected by heat cannot provide safe care to others!

We are so happy to honor our wonderful volunteer Johanna for winning the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Johanna has been a dedicated volunteer with our program since 2024, and has since selflessly given over 200 hours of her time to bring comfort, support, and companionship to our patients and their families.

Meet Gabriela Böhm, the facilitator of our virtual Grief Support Circle, which begins its first of six sessions on Wednesday, March 4 at 6-7:30pm. The group will meet weekly on Wednesday nights until April 15 and is free to anyone in our community experiencing the loss of a loved one.

Today, our Orange Hospice Ensemble is spreading holiday cheer at Grace Retirement Village in La Habra 🎄🎁🎶 We put together an arrangement of some holiday favorites to uplift the spirits of the residents and staff. Happy holidays!
