🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸

Today, we gathered to honor the brave men and women who have served our country, and to recognize the Veteran widows and Veteran wives whose strength stands behind every uniform. ❤️

A special thank you to Hughes-Hantge Funeral Service for bringing the beautifully restored Army Jeep and Thank You Coin Medallion — what a meaningful addition to our day.

Our Veterans received warm flannel long sleeve gifts from the Hutchinson DAV, which were deeply appreciated.

We also want to thank: • Shayann for sharing her voice in song
• Pastor Dave for leading us in prayer
• Marie for playing the piano so beautifully

Your time and heart made this day special.

The Thanksgiving video we created 5 years ago brought so many smiles and warm memories — and we’d love to create another one this year! ❤️
But we need YOUR help to make it special.

A special shout out to Pete’s Grill in Hector for the delicious pies they made for our 3:00 pm coffee party on Monday! We had a special lunch to welcome our new Director of Nursing, Crystal Gitter, with a fun question and answer session while everyone feasted on the delicious pies made by Brenda and Denise! ❤️

🎃🕵️‍♀️ Candy Caper Mystery — SOLVED! 🍬✨

The kids cracked the case!
Our suspects did great at each clue station.

We made 60 bags and welcomed about 70 kids — wow! Next time, we’ll have even more treat bags ready! 🎒💛

📢 THE MYSTERY IS SOLVED!
Our resident detectives — and actors! — at Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center finally cracked The Case of the Missing Halloween Candy! 🕵️‍♀️🍫

After a week of clues, laughter, and great detective work, the candy thief turned out to be…
🥁 🎹 Pianist Paul!

He “borrowed” the candy and hid it in the piano bench for safekeeping — and forgot to tell anyone! 😄

Our residents had a blast playing each suspect — Chef Clara, Nurse Nora, Janitor Jerry, Pianist Paul, and Gardener Gail — while the rest of the community became detectives!

Everyone enjoyed the sweet ending at our Candy Party Reveal, with treats, and laughter. 🍬💛

🎨 Last Day of Spirit Week: CRAYON DAY! 🖍️🌈
Today our residents and staff brightened the halls with colors in the crayon box! 💛💚💙💜❤️🧡

From bright bold reds to peaceful blues, each color reminded us how every person adds their own joy and personality to BLHCC.

We wrapped up Spirit Week with lots of smiles, laughs, and colorful memories. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this week so much fun! 🥰✨
