Sheet pan dinner, slightly roasted tomatoes. Brushed the chicken with olive oil, lemon, garlic and fresh basil. A little sea salt and lemon juice on the asparagus. Might have overdobe it on the parm, but I love me some freshly grated patmesan!!

Health, fitness, nutrition, weight loss. Combined together it can feel overwhelming to get started. Don't know where to start, or even how to begin? Start with an assessment of what you desire.

Do you want to lose weight, breathe better, ache less, be stronger? Do you want to climb those stairs without having to stop and take a break? Do you want to feel better, less overwhelmed, less stressed?

Write it all down. Put your thoughts, desires, needs on paper so to speak. Then narrow it down to the most important, the attainable, the one that doesn't cause a small panic attack when you think about it.

That's where you start. That's where your journey begins. Then research, brain storm, commit yourself fully to that one thing. Reach out for support, assistance, others expertise. And know...you are not alone...there are always others with a similar story

Contemplating health and diet changes? Start small. Don't try to do it all at once and don't try to make a 180 degree change at one time. You will fail. It takes about 90 days to create a habit and your mental health is 100% the most important part of your journey.

Dont create stress where there doesn't need to be any. That being said...YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS. Once perfected...hard things become normal and rewarding.

Things I have learned in the past 2 months.

1. It takes 45 days to create a habit.

2. Find something that's makes you happy.

3. Everyone has some form of stress or anxiety. Don't trivialize anyone's feelings.

4. Surround yourself with positivity. Negative connotations and atmospheres will rub off.

5. No matter the circumstances, you direct your path. Nobody gets to tell you that it's wrong or too much.

6. Eating clean, healthy foods makes me feel like I'm going down the age ladder. It helps with depression, motivation, energy, inflammation, and joint pain.

It's all about making yourself a better person every day. If you fall down, you have to pick yourself up off the ground and start over. A fall doesn't mean a fail.
