Between moving & starting two new jobs this past week, stress is an understatement! With everything going on in the world right now I know I am not alone when it comes to being stressed. ⁣

Unfortunately, with stress comes adrenal issues, and with adrenal issues can come those few extra pounds 🤦🏼‍♀️ ⁣

Next week I will be picking two days where I share what I am eating along with tips from this book that may help to get you back on track. ⁣

Happy Tuesday! If your like me you spent the long weekend enjoying yourself. One thing I have learned is DON’T feel guilty after a weekend of off track eating (or drinking 🤷🏼‍♀️)! ⁣

Here are the top 3 ways I get back on track: ⁣
1. LOTS of water! 💦⁣
2. Get up & MOVE! Take a walk, ride your bike or one of my favorites is rollerblading. Whatever it is, get up and go!🏃🏼‍♀️⁣
3. Don’t stress or feel guilty! Health is not only what you eat and drink, it is also about being happy & smiling especially in times like these! ⁣

This recipe is definitely one of my new favorites especially if your looking for a healthy “pasta” dish! 🍝⁣

Ingredients: ⁣
~Zucchini Noodles (bought mine prepared from Trader Joe’s) ⁣
~Bag of Spinach⁣
~Package of Ground Turkey ⁣
~1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic ⁣
~About 1/4 cup Green Goddess Salad Dressing from Trader Joe’s (Avocado based) ⁣
~Garlic Flavored Olive Oil ⁣or just regular Olive Oil

Steps to Make: ⁣
1. Cook turkey burger separately in a pan. ⁣
2. While turkey burger is cooking, sauté zucchini noodles in olive oil and garlic for about 5 minutes. ⁣
3. Add in spinach. ⁣
4. Once spinach is wilted, add turkey burger and dressing. ⁣
5. Mix all together until fully coated.
6. Put in a bowl and top with additional dressing, oregano & cheese (I added a Tablespoon of Nutritional Yeast to mine instead of the cheese but either works). ⁣
7. Enjoy! 🤗🌿 ⁣

Mentally stressed and/or going a little stir crazy being at home? Go for a walk & clear your mind!

This will help not only with mental but also your physical health. We don’t always need a high intensity workout that leaves us drenched in sweat to promote weight loss especially if we are stressed.

Taking time to get outside for a walk has kept me moving and decreased my stress levels through this quarantine (weather dependent here in Buffalo of course 🤦🏼‍♀️). You would be surprised at how much better you feel after just getting some fresh air!

One of my favorite apps to track not only walking but any type of exercise outside is Strava. It provides you with data and you can follow your friends/family for a little extra motivation! Get out there safely & enjoy the weekend! ☀️🌷🌿 @ Buffalo, New York

It’s officially BBQ season 🍔🌭 If your not a grill master, try this Whole 30 pulled BBQ chicken recipe in the crockpot! ⁣

Pulled Chicken: ⁣
~3 Chicken Breasts ⁣
~1 cup Organic Chicken Bone Broth ⁣
~3/4 cup Primal Golden BBQ dressing ⁣
~2 tsps Organic Minced Garlic ⁣

Put all ingredients in the crockpot, put the top on and cook on low for 5 hours or on high for 3 (I personally cooked this on low for 5). Once cooked, take the chicken out, shred with a fork then add more Primal BBQ Dressing. ⁣

I made mine into a BBQ bowl with homemade coleslaw and air fried sweet potato fries. Both recipes will be posted in the near future so stay tuned! 🌿⁣ @ Buffalo, New York

If your like me, you already have Cinco De Mayo on your brain! Tacos, Guacamole & Margaritas, what’s better?! 🥑🌮⁣

Here is a simple, nutritious and delicious taco salad idea for now or later! ⁣

~Lettuce of your choice topped with: ⁣
~Ground turkey made with Trader Joe’s taco seasoning⁣
~Cauliflower stir fry rice from Trader Joe’s (regular rice or quinoa works too) ⁣
~Sautéed peppers and onions ⁣
~Black Beans ⁣
~Guacamole ⁣
~Salsa⁣
~Wegmans Sriracha Mayo drizzled on the top ⁣

Enjoy! P.S. Don’t forget the salt & lime! 🍹
