Illustrator, Colleen Darby and writer, Cristina Pippa have just released “Hippos at the Hospital,” a colorful story and activity book created to entertain and soothe young patients during their hospital stay. They will be gifting copies of the book to the families of Stone’s Buddies,an organization for chronically ill children and will be hosting a luau themed “Art Party” at Women’s & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

Our mission at ArtCare is to give every patient and their loved ones the opportunity to engage in the arts, while receiving medical care and to educate and train hospital staff and volunteers in the arts in healthcare initiative.

Our vision is to promote the implementation of arts in healthcare initiatives at all hospitals throughout the country and to supply every patient with an ArtCare products upon admission.
