We’ve been preaching this for years… unfortunately if falls on deaf ears until the cancer diagnosis is now inside your own home.
Golf courses are incredibly toxic environments, often heavily treated with glyphosate, a herbicide linked to various health issues, including certain cancers in dogs. Research has shown a connection between glyphosate exposure and canine lymphomas, as well as other cancers like mast cell tumors.
In addition to its use on golf courses, glyphosate is frequently sprayed on crops like oats, wheat, and chickpeas after harvest to hasten drying, making these grains some of the worst offenders regarding glyphosate exposure. This chemical doesn't just affect pets; it can also trigger serious gastrointestinal conditions, such as colitis and Crohn's disease, in humans.
Another article regarding livestock feed ingredient "Recovered Retail Food". The discussion provided the example of yogurt cups, the cheap six packs of yogurt sold in grocery stores. “When these types of foods expire, the products are collected in large bins behind every grocery. Expired yogurt, breads, meats, whatever - including plastic containers - are collected, ground and included in 'feed' for livestock.” Fun stuff, Right? Now I couldn’t confirm regarding the unpackaging of these items, there are several articles stating that per “health guideline’s”, the plastics are removed…. Theres also articles regarding the packages are NOT removed ….. Hence why I make our ducks fermented organic grain food!
We may be crazy dog people … but for me and my house, it’s the statistics of “1 out of 2 dogs will be diagnosed with cancer”, five years ago it was 4 out 10….
“The widespread use of glyphosate, a common herbicide, is now linked to a significant increase in the risk of Parkinson’s disease. A recent study found that living within a one-mile radius of a golf course treated with glyphosate increases the risk of developing Parkinson’s by over 120%. This alarming connection sheds light on the unseen dangers in our environment.
Glyphosate, found in many pesticides and herbicides, is toxic and affects both our health and the ecosystem. As we continue to use chemicals like glyphosate in agriculture and landscaping, we must consider the long-term impact on our health and the environment.
Reducing exposure to harmful chemicals starts with making conscious choices. Support organic farming, reduce chemical use, and be mindful of where you live and how it might affect your health. Protecting our planet means protecting ourselves and future generations. 🌱🧠”
