It can be lonely at the top. Whether you're a company of one or the lead in your team, there are a number of factors that can drive that feeling. Maybe your authority prevents you from being approachable. Maybe your responsibility makes you unrelatable.

You don't have to sit in that. Seek the support you need.

Guys. Most men don’t fail because they lack vision.
They stall because they’re embarrassed to start small.

Or worse… to start over. I’ve wrestled that myself.

But beginning again isn’t weakness. It’s experience.
It’s maturity. It’s taking an idea and testing its mettle. The whole process is tough because it ultimately tests your mettle.

Again after the setback.
Again after the drift.
Again after the season you’re not proud of.

The man who keeps beginning will outlast the man who waits for perfect conditions.

Start where you are.
Then keep at it. Go get em guys.

You thought it would be hard. You just didn’t think it would feel like this.

The climb costs. Heck yea it does.

It costs comfort.
It costs ego.
It costs the illusion that success is clean and curated.

You’ll get tired.
You’ll get hit.
You’ll want to quit.

That’s not failure. That’s training.

Social media doesn’t teach grit.
The arena does.
Fatherhood does.
Building does.
Faithfulness does.

Failure creates wounds… yea but wounds create wisdom.
Dust off. Heal. Refuel. Trade costs for experience.

You’re not behind.
You’re being forged.

If this slaps where you’re at, you should be on The Climb.
That’s where I write for the men in the fight.

Drop “climb” below or DM me your email and I’ll add you.

“I know what I should be doing. I just haven’t done it.”

That sentence has probably crossed your mind more than once. I have have been there and it sucks.

You know you should wake up earlier.
You know you should lead better.
You know you should fix your finances.
You know you should pray more.
You know you should make the call.

But knowing isn’t the problem.

Delay is.

Most men don’t fail because they lack information.
They fail because they postpone obedience to what they already know.

At some point, you either act… or you accept becoming the man who didn’t. I couldn’t accept being the guy who didn’t swing, I’d either get up and learn to go or die trying.

As someone who had to figure this out, I’m telling you to start today. Don’t be dramatic. Doesn’t have to be loud. Just decisive.

What’s the one thing you’ve been putting off?

Men, you’re designed to do great things. Difficult things provides the resistance required to grow. Don’t run from it but go through it.

Most men don’t grow during their easy seasons.
They grow when life gets heavy and clarity is forged under pressure.

The mountains you’re tempted to avoid are often the very places where wisdom, strength, and direction are formed.

This clip is from the Iron Ore Podcast — conversations for faithful and productive men who want to lead well, live with purpose, and stop drifting.
