K’uychi, that sacred, central rainbow in the center of our mesa, representing aether, and our connection to all that is; and the Misarumi, the most sacred object occupying the center of our mesa. It represents that most transcendent, sublime element and brings past, present, and future vibrantly alive into the vista of our ever-present now. How fortunate are we, then, to hold the Misarumi of our founder's mentor & guide, don Benito Corihuamán Vargas?

Don Oscar apprenticed for four years with don Benito, famed kuraq akulleq from Wasao, a village not far from Cusco and Macchu Picchu. The traditional Q’eswaruna cosmovision remains a part of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, and comes to life in the energetically-vibrant artifact.

Amy Mermaid Isakov is the present ceremonial keeper of this arte, and it with great honor and joy that we share its abundant energy with you, our Global Ayllu.

THE TRUTH OF WHAT A SHAMAN ACTUALLY DOES

There’s a misconception in the spiritual world that needs clearing.

People talk about healers as if the human being is the one doing the work.
But in shamanism, that’s simply not true.

A shaman is not the healer.
A shaman is the bridge.

What heals is Spirit, the helping beings, the ancient forces, the protectors, the allies who can move through places the human mind can’t touch.
A true shamanic practitioner never claims, “I healed you.”
Because the moment someone believes they are the power, they’ve already stepped out of integrity.

My job, our job, is to open the doorway, to hold the container, to listen, and to get out of the way so Spirit can do what it does.

It’s the spirits who shift the emotional weight you’ve been carrying for years.
It’s the spirits who find the soul parts you lost in trauma.
It’s the spirits who change the energy in your body when you’ve tried everything else.
It’s the spirits who reveal the truth you’ve been avoiding.

A shaman’s role is to:
• navigate between worlds
• speak to what others cannot see
• negotiate with what others fear
• retrieve what was taken
• and es**rt what does not belong

But the healing itself?
That belongs to Spirit.

This is why shamanism can’t be performed from imagination.
It can’t be faked.
It can’t be copied from a book or borrowed from a workshop.

It comes from relationship.
From devotion.
From being trained, broken open, humbled, and rebuilt by the beings who walk with you.

So when people ask me, “How do you heal people?”
I always say:
I don’t. I work with the ones who do.

And that’s the truth of this path.
