NY, Feb. 14-15, Willka Hampiq: Peruvian Energy Medicine for the Modern World with Andrea Groves

An in-person, hands-on training in energy medicine for those called deeply to the path of healing, aligning with the five directions of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition.

Wilka Hampiq (Sacred Medicine Spirit) is an In-Depth, In-Person apprenticeship in the Healing Arts of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition. It includes intensive practice in the ritual use of the vibrational frequencies of earth, water, air, fire, and ether to harmonize challenges within the body, mind, emotions, spirit, and soul. Building from your relationship with the elements, this is an opportunity to expand your capacity as a healer for yourself, your community, & the planet.

Integration and Elevation: Includes using the Pendulum as a healing tool

When a Mountain Calls You...

A few days before, a prospective student of shamanism and I sat down and had a lovely conversation about her interest in the apprenticeship I teach as a sanctioned teacher of The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, or PMT, originated by don Oscar Miro-Quesada. At the conclusion of this meeting, this beautiful soul asked if it would be appropriate for her to offer me a gift of sacred recoprocity, or ayni in my tradition. I gratefully accepted the effigy of small crystal bear. My heart beamed! I felt the bear medicine flowing! For the next several days, that bear stayed close by my side.

Then a few days later as I sat in my morning meditation, that bear opened up to me, and called me to it...Quite literally, called me to Bear Mountain, and state park just an hour outside of New York City. So with no more thought than getting there, I took my crystal bear, my Misarumi (the medicine piece that sits in the center of my mesa, the portal piece that guides me through all three worlds, the ukhupacha, the kaypacha, and the hanaqpacha, and the spirit realms), and a to go cup of coffee, hopped in my car and took that five hour car ride into the Hudson Valley.

Earlier this year I had made a solid connection with the spirit of Bear Mountain, a regional Apu of the Antisuyu, the Northeast region of which I am a part of, and I knew that at some point would be making an in-person visit there. However, I did not forsee that I would have the same idea as tens of thousands of other naturists that day. The temps were in the mid 70's, the fall foliage was at its peak, and it was a weekend day to boot! The place was quite congested with the human population. The slow down of traffic into the park allowed me a moment to just take in the scene, nature, hustle and bustle colliding into swirling, frenetic energy on this fine day. I breathed deeply and slowly raised my eyes to the distant horizon--and there I found Bear Mountain. In that moment, time slowed and my senses took over as I was warmly greeted and welcomed by the spirit of the mountain. I recognized her, she recognized me, we felt at home in each other's presence. My heart was gladdened and the challenges that all those people were creating fell away. I let be what would be. I basked in the connection and looked forward to the prospect to deepen this initial contact into a blossoming, blooming relationship...that would last beyond lifetimes.

When it feels like too much, seek refuge by creating your own safety. Over the past 3 months, I have been in a roller coaster ride of high and low energy. The highs are what inevitably pulled me through the lows, which were some of the densest energies I've ever felt...even worse than going through a three year long divorce process. Big things have come to a close in my professional life that had me questioning absolutely everything, even now, I feel a bit wobbly and unsure. However, what I do know, is that I have an intestinal fortitude that has the strength of iron, and it's time to get back to the act of living. Fully. I know I am not alone in having gone through this time of self preservation through avoidance and reclusiveness, and I want you to know, I feel you, I see you, I hear you...And it's time for us all to get back together once again. I have some classes and events coming up in the new year, and I plan on filling the rest of my 2025 calendar with smaller offerings and healing sessions. Let's heal our hearts together. This beautiful human, Nicole Budniewski Farrugia, has recently completed The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition 5 part apprenticeship! She unlocked within herself, her greatest strength! The ability to flow love, beauty and creation without fear! She boldly stated that she is ready to show herself, her TRUE self without hiding, with her head high and eyes sharp and bright. This was always within her...she just needed a light to shine on her path.

She has always embodied the archetype of Earth Steward, and as a mom, and as a way-shower, she is already spreading the ripple of love by teaching her three young boys the way. These are a few photos of them after they all built a living, breathing, apacheta, or energetic feeding spot, to nourish our beloved Pachamama.
