NO BOUNDARIES - LITERATURE. MUSIC. ARTS e.V. is an organization based in Berlin, founded in 2013. It creates, manages ,and organizes events that aim to break down any form of “mental” boundaries and/or limitations. Literature, music, science, visual art as well as a diversity of other art forms are merged within international collaborations. Music embraces literature and artists are invited to participate within workshop settings. These create opportunity for dialogue which nurtures new ideas resulting in the creation of new works. Intellectuals and young people alike are addressed by the program, its reflections, and projects. The association believes in the idea of connecting the arts with the ideas of young people and/or individuals who are involved in social programs and are often left out of art projects offered to the public.

Washington DC-based Prosperity Now is one of the most progressive and successful economic empowerment entities in the United States. When their Vice President hired our firm to lead the comms and development plan for their Racial Wealth Divide Initiative (RWDI), we were enthused to build a dynamic and effective approach. Our strategy launches and implements functions that highlight their innovation, bridging racial wealth inequality. Through media and platform placement, we’ve elevated RWDI and its partners as influential voices that drive policy solutions to tackling racial economic inequality at the national, state, and local levels.

RWDI leverages its connection to national organizations, a growing network of state and local partners, and core competencies –technical assistance, policy development and advocacy, and applied research– to aggressively address racial economic inequality. Our project deploys three primary strategies: to strengthen all of Prosperity Now's programs’ ability to address racial wealth inequality and develop stronger analysis of asset poverty in communities of color, to launch and implement specific projects that highlight best practices in bridging racial wealth inequality through collaboration with local and regional organizations, and to elevate Prosperity Now and its partners as influential voices that drive policy solutions to tackling racial economic inequality at the national, state, and local levels.

Amgen is one of the world’s leading biotechnology corporations and is a values-based company, deeply rooted in science and innovation to transform new ideas and discoveries into medicines for patients with serious illnesses. Lyfe Productives sees in Amgen a future partner in identifying and developing preventative biotech medicines and programs to further support the health disparities in our communities.

In October, the Amgen Health Equity Summit brought together diverse experts and leaders from across the healthcare industry to discuss both the history and current reality of racial disparities in health outcomes. Leaders in health insurance, academia, medical research, and social justice, including Amgen CEO Bob Bradway, delivered powerful messages about the steps and solutions that healthcare organizations must take to begin closing these gaps.

5 Important Steps for Advancing Health Equity

A diverse group of notable experts shared insights about addressing racial health disparities at Amgen’s latest health equity conference.

1. Helping bridge disparities

William Shrank, MD, chief medical and corporate affairs officer for health insurance company Humana, explained how healthcare organizations can and should collaborate with diverse partners that focus on addressing social determinants of health — such as food scarcity, housing, transportation and broadband internet access — that drive health disparities.

“The pandemic shined a very bright light on the fault lines in our public health system and the fragmentation of our health care delivery system,” he said. “At the same time, I think there has been really wonderful evidence from the private sector where payers, providers, manufacturers, lab companies have all rolled up our sleeves together and tried to figure out how to fill in those fault lines.”

2. Fostering community involvement

When it comes to taking an inclusive approach to…
