💡 Helpful Practice Tip of the Day

Not yet in-network with Aetna but ready to start seeing clients in your private practice? Good news — you can still get paid!

👉 Simply request an authorization as a non-network provider before services are rendered. Here’s how:

Complete Aetna’s Outpatient Behavioral Health Pre-Auth (Non-Par Provider) Form from the perspective of your practice.

Request several units of your most commonly used CPT codes to cover sessions while your contract is being loaded.

Fax the form to Aetna. They’ll follow up to verify details and issue an authorization number.

Enter that information into your EHR — and you’re set!

🧠 Tip: If you’re unsure how to enter authorization details in your EHR, a quick Google search with your EHR name will walk you through it.
