My dad, Wayne had open heart surgery on replaced his aortic valve, they did a CABG bypass on another valve and mesh wrapped another valve.

He has been in 2 hospitals over 35+ days. He has overcome a pontine stroke, a long battle with illeus and had to go back into surgery to add a drain to his leg where they harvested an artery for his bypass surgery.
Thank God he will be heading home soon.

These are some of the items recommended by the hospital to have at home. They have already delivered a hospital bed and shower stool

Day 27 in the hospital...its exhausting and emotional on a good day.

Today was a better day than yesterday but dad has such a long way to go just to leave the hospital. He will also require 2 weeks of inpatient rehab before he can come home.

We are still currently in the
Heart Failure ICU at Herman Hospital..

It's always 2 steps forward 1 step back.
