Meet the Spectacular Snowman of Advance Rehab.
He’s crafted the only way our Calhoun team knows how: with resourcefulness, teamwork, and a dash of PT flair. His base is a sturdy plyo jump box—built for explosive power, but now serving as the most stable pair of snowman legs in the county. His face comes courtesy of an exercise ball, perfectly round and full of character, just like the balance-focused tools we use every day with our patients.
His middle is a combination masterpiece: part garden planter, part Home Depot bucket, stacked together in perfect posture—because even snowmen need proper alignment. He’s dressed in his iconic top hat, his bright orange scarf (a proud nod to Advance Rehab), and glowing garland that lights up the whole field at night. And holding him together? Good old TheraBand—proving once again that TheraBand really can do anything.
But this snowman isn’t just a decoration on the Rec fields.
He’s a symbol.
Each piece of him reflects what we do at Advance Rehab:
The plyo box legs show the importance of a strong base—essential for athletes, weekend warriors, and, apparently, snowmen.
The exercise-ball head reminds us that balance is key, both in physical therapy and in life.
The bucket-and-planter torso represents adaptability—using what you have, building layer by layer, just like recovery.
The TheraBand wrap stands for resilience, strength, and the small, consistent movements that spark big change.
And his presence at the Calhoun Recreation Center fields?
That’s no accident.
It’s our way of celebrating the athletes, families, and community members we support year-round. Whether someone’s rehabbing a sports injury, recovering from surgery, or working toward their strongest season yet, we’re here—cheering them on, just like our snowman does from the sidelines.
This holiday season, the Spectacular Snowman and his snowman buddies stand as a reminder that strength can be built from anything, progress can happen anywhere, and joy belongs even in the rehab journey.
