Our pharmacy will begin assisting patients with evaluating all of their Medicare Part D options next week (Monday, November 10). We received word this morning that, despite the government shutdown, formulary changes and updates are being loaded into the system this week and will be available to us next week. The deadline to enroll in a plan or change a plan for 2026 is December 7 so there is still plenty of time to make an informed decision.

There's better things to do than worry about Medicare. We can take the stress away because we know your names, your medications, and your situation. Care by hometown folks means we treat you like family!

Medicare Part D insurance plans typically revise their drug formularies on November 1 each year. Due to the Federal government shutdown, the Medicare plan tool finder is not being updated with these formulary changes. We are recommending that Medicare Part D recipients wait a few weeks to see if the shutdown is resolved and the plan finder is updated. Recipients have until December 7 to change plans.

We do realize that most patients will likely need to change plans this year due to increased premiums and copays. We encourage patients to carefully review their plan options considering all of their medications. It is important to choose the best plan for you.
