On Saturday, February 28, family, friends, and colleagues gathered at Wiseman Funeral Home and Chapel to honor the life of Vaughn Erricky Ariel Tillman.

Many shared memories of Vaughn as someone who could bring laughter into any room. Friends recalled his love of card games, movie discussions, fishing trips, and the stories he enjoyed sharing about life in Washington, DC.

Former coworkers spoke about the guidance he gave them and the friendships that grew from working together over the years. Others remembered the way he could lift someone’s spirit with conversation, humor, or simply being there when it mattered most.

The service was filled with reflection, gratitude, and the many memories that will continue to keep Vaughn’s spirit alive in the hearts of those who knew him. Wiseman Funeral Home — walking with you every step of the way and serving you professionally with the utmost respect.

Wiseman Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Diane Florence Lewis, a lifelong resident of Washington, DC, whose legacy of education, faith, and family continues to inspire.

As a dedicated librarian for the Department of Education, Mrs. Lewis believed deeply in literacy, knowledge, and preserving African American history. Her greatest joy, however, was her family — raising her sons with strength and dignity and cherishing her beloved grandchildren.

Surrounded by loved ones in our chapel, her life was remembered with warmth, gratitude, and reverence.

We extend our continued prayers to the Lewis family.
