Lately, my inbox has been full of the same question đź‘€

“Is this another GLP-1 thing?”

And honestly… I get why people are asking.

So many of you have reached out because:

I shared some very real weight-wellness photos today — body composition data, progress checkpoints, and the kind of images most of us hesitate to post — not here, but inside my Rise Up to Wellness community.

Not because I’m chasing a “before and after,” but because my body story deserves context, not comparison.

This journey didn’t start this week.
It didn’t even start this year.

🧠 In August 2023, I hit a breaking point with stress and burnout. I started focusing on regulating my nervous system — and for the first time, my weight finally began to respond.

🚶‍♀️ Around that same time, something else shifted: I had energy again.
Not wired energy — steady energy.
I started walking consistently because my body could handle it. Today I hit 10,000 steps, and that’s still something I don’t take for granted.

🏋️‍♀️ In August 2025, I added lifting — not to shrink myself, but to protect muscle and metabolism after years of chronic stress.

🌿 And right now, I’m walking through a gentle gut reset — not to punish my body, but to calm inflammation and create a clean baseline before layering in targeted weight-wellness support.

What I’ve learned (as a PA and as a mom who’s lived this) is that weight struggles are rarely about willpower.
They’re about stress, inflammation, gut-brain signaling, and whether the body feels safe enough to change.

That’s the part I’m unpacking honestly inside the community — what’s actually working, what I’ve already tried, and why this phase feels different.
