Darling I hope you tend more for your mind than your body.

Because the mind is the most precious part. Without it, a cared for body is empty and lost.

I thought marriage would heal loneliness.

I thought skinny would heal comparison and self hate.

I thought popularity would heal unworthiness.

I thought financial wealth would heal unhappiness.

I thought doing the stable job would heal insecurity.

I thought self love of wining, complaining, and binging would heal stress.

I thought exercising for hours would heal the way I saw my body.

I thought restricting for a few days and letting loose for one would heal my hunger.

I thought a lot of things that the world easily displayed to be what would heal me.

Truth is all of those were NOT true. And it only took the right mindset to see it. To work through it. To overcome it.

Ladies in my accountability message me. I’m in a slump or I was so excited and showed up for the first 3 days and now I’m back to square one unmotivated. Etc. as their coach I explain. A purchase doesn’t make you a different person. A promise you let yourself break doesn’t make you a different person. But working on your mindset. Can change everything about you! So I tell them to pick a book off our list. A podcast of our list. Or suggest one I know will help them! And I tell them to stop treating the symptoms and start treating the issue.

Breaks are needed.

Consistency without flexibility is draining.

Reminder: when did punishing yourself or beating yourself up ever work to get you back on track? Didn’t it make you feel more unworthy or even less credible to feeling successful!?

So stop that defeating thought process.

🚨 NOONE HAS IT ALL TOGETHER! 🚨

It’s a new week and for many of us, we are transitioning back into a routine or starting a new routine.

Give yourself grace. Let go of the things that can wait and focus on what matters.

+dishes and laundry may get behind this week, but my dog and fam will get plenty of my cuddles and attention after work

+ not everything on my to-do list will get checked off, but I will choose three things that must well.

+ I may be on dry shampoo day 4 but my body will feel amazing and stronger by showing up for my health.

+ I may not have time to watch all my shows or scroll but I will make sure I take some time for me and build myself with positivity and doing a face mask.

Life is all about decision. The decisions you make are based on the beliefs you have.

Build YOURSELF up Buttercup!⠀

That way when someone breaks you down,even if it’s yourself, you know exactly how to rebuild and make YOU even stronger. ⠀

And that’s what I did. ⠀

Instead of feeling lost, anxious and constantly like I couldn’t keep up. ⠀

I chose to show up for me and fill my cup up. Take care of my body and mind. Learn how to be a better me each day. ⠀

Shocker... life got easier.⠀

It’s crazy how taking care of myself and adding one more thing took so many things off me.⠀

+getting up a little earlier to do something that I love.⠀

+getting up a little earlier to get my mindset right (personally I love personal development books and podcasts) ⠀

+find atleast 20 minutes in my living room or my neighborhood to move my body⠀

+ to actually take time to get ready and put on things that bring out my confidence⠀

+ to make myself dance, sing, and laugh each day even if it’s through YouTube⠀

+Most importantly I chose to give myself compliments. It takes 10s of 100s of compliments and beliefs to overcome one insult. I chose to give myself the opportunity to have vision. To dream big! ⠀

Let’s start building ourselves up today and say it. ⠀

Gosh grateful for coaching and one of the principles being to take care of your mindset because I never worked on my mindset before. It’s change my life.

Confidence can be learned and so can being disciplined. ⠀

You know me and Enzo taking on the world one PAW-gram at a time! 🐾 ⠀

✨No pun regrets! Ahh but how cute is this tank top I’ll be gifting ladies who are doing this new program with me and getting all their things ready before we start January 4th. Including doing the prep workouts throughout the holidays!⠀

🤣So excited to take control of the things I can! I used to struggle with being motivated and would quit or have to postpone my start date because of holiday parties or dinners out. Or quite honestly I was tired and not in the mood. ⠀

👏🏻Learning that if you want to actually have a healthy lifestyle change you it has to work with your social life! You have to realize it’s not about being motivated but disciplined. You have to get the fact that you’re journey isn’t going to be perfect and there is never a right time. ⠀

Accepting the facts.⠀

➕You can enjoy the holidays and eating out with friends while still being on track with your health and fitness. You can follow your simple meal plan I’m gonna set you up with and eat the foods you love & overcome food controlling me. ⠀

➕You don’t have to be motivated to do something, to do it! You know you can make it happen and it just takes putting on the outfit and making it a non-negotiable. Stop breaking promises to yourself or believing that later is better. Stop listening to the old you and your excuses. The difference between the person You are and the person You want to be is showing up for the journey to get there!⠀

+Have fun with it! Get the new outfit that makes you feel strong and hot! Dance around to your favorite music throughout the workout and making the healthy meal! Do it with your girlfriends! (My secret! I always find ladies to do the programs with me!) ⠀

Don’t let your ego get in the way- just because you can’t keep up doesn’t mean you can’t show up. -Brendon Burchard ⠀

Showing up in your life when your lacking energy and clarity brings me back to when I felt stretched thin, tired all the time, and felt like I never had enough. ⠀

✖️ I didn’t know how to manage at all and it showed physically. I slept till the last minute, forgot everything, wouldn’t eat all day then over eat at night which kept me up late. So of course I watched my favorite shows way too late so I could have an ounce of “Me” time. Distracted at bible studies by my to do list. I did what I was supposed to do. Got my masters , taught, volunteered, time with friends, worked part time, ran 10ks, due to medical issues I even ate gluten free and dairy free. I had my own place and was making enough for travel and had all I needed. Even a great man in my life. ⠀

But to be completely honest. I was burnt out. I didn’t have any direction and felt stuck. I didn’t have a next step but kids and marriage. Nothing more for Me to personally grow in. I didn’t have an energy because of it. What was there to excite me?⠀

✨ I needed a change. Not in my life. Not in my job. Not in my surroundings. Not in my faith. I needed a change in ME. ⠀

I needed to show up for ME and my future again. And that took a lot of hard work.⠀

6 things I did to find ME!⠀

💕Step our of your comfort zone and start reading books, listening to podcasts and applying positive thinking and good habits in your life. It’s like a smile wants you see it can’t help but smile back.⠀

💕Move your body daily. Not just when you have time. Make time each day. Moving gives you energy. See what you’re body is doing for you!⠀

💕Promise to never insult yourself again⠀

💕 Power of 3s (affirmations, blessing, and prayers)⠀

💕Start planning out your week by the hours with goals you have l this week, this month ,& this year! You’ll realize how much time you do have or where you can make time for things for YOU. ⠀

💕Get accountability. Not from only someone who is where you’re at but someone who’s where you want to be too! I have one you can join!⠀

There were other teachers when I was in the classroom that did so much, that I thought I’d never be as good. ⠀

There were people with more money and success. They’re lucky. I could never do that or have that. ⠀

There were other married women when I was getting married who I thought I could never be as perfect as them. ⠀

There were other coaches when I first started who were way further along and successful. How could I make an impact and be successful?

There were.... I could go on. I’m sure we could go on together. ⠀

Here’s the thing. I was great teacher. Why? Because I supported my students. I am a great wife because it is my relationship I am pouring into. I am a successful coach because I connect with my people, and serve ladies who relate to me! Money isn’t luck. Success doesn’t fall in your lap. I work and will continue to work for my dreams and freedoms to exist.⠀

So babe. Stop questioning your power and vibe ⠀

I had to lock my closet door! ⠀

I was fifteen and I got a new door k**b and key to my closet and made a sign and everything...STAY OUT!⠀

Then my mom made me give her a copy⠀
of the key, it in case of an emergency... 🛑 ⠀

Then one day, my sister wore my favorite white shirt to school. Sat down at the table I was sitting at and stained it right in front of me.⠀

The next moment I was across the table. you can just imagine the scene from mean girls when Lindsay Lohan jumps across the table... 🦁 yeah I went wild!⠀

This is one of my favorite memories because as an adult I realize how ridiculous I was, it reminds me how silly it truly is to sweat the small stuff. ⠀

Megan officially joined the thirties club today and she’s the one person on this earth that understands every aspect of my life. Because she let me be apart of hers too! ⠀

Three things I’ve learned from this 30⠀
Year old:⠀

1. Friends come and go. Megan NEVER let her friends stop her or make her scared to do anything! She taught me to just live your life and let go of expectations of people and set expectations for yourself.⠀

2. Always have YOUR thing! No matter how busy Megan was with sports, school, dating or now being a mama of two. When I call her she shares all about what she’s working on, reading , hobbies she’s doing, goals, learning. She’s always growing!⠀

3. If you do the dishes or something around the house to help my mom she will give you anything you want. Including your sisters key to her locked closet. 🤣 ⠀

What are three things you would have told yourself three years ago!?⠀

1. Take more pictures and stop picking yourself apart! Gosh the digging I had to do to find a picture of myself. I cropped all my pictures from the chest down apparently 2016-2018. Embarrassed. Like come on girl friend!? I had a wonderful life and it would have been nice to have those memories captured.⠀

2. Keep all the free antibacterial soap I got from every random carnival etc. it will come in handy in 2020.⠀

3. Pay a professional to train your dog. You don’t think you’ll need it but gosh you’re a sucker for puppy eyes 🥺! ⠀

✨The biggest transformation I had in the last three years is the confidence I have in myself. I stopped giving in to what the world wanted me to be and started to realize all the wonderful things God made me to be. ⠀

And gals there’s nothing a girl can’t do with a whole lotta faith, a mission, a group of strong women beside her, and gogo juice just saying.
