Born and raised in difficult, sometimes violent circumstances. Rose above this to become a successful mother, career woman, and friend to all. I spent 21 days at an Ashram in Hawaii to get my Yoga Teacher certification. I write about spiritual topics, consider myself of the Christian faith - though more spiritual than religious. Everyone is a teacher in my opinion. Fortune and grace have put a lot of good mentors in my path. Sometimes what I write may stir people up, however, it is never to bash. Just to challenge as I am challenged daily in my journey. I do write about Christianity, however not exclusively. I will not criticize other faiths, love to study various philosophies, and tend to apply some of these into my daily life. Keeping an open mind to all other beliefs. Again, we can all learn from each other. Comments are welcome. I love discussions. Feel free to be real with me. I don't think I know it all and I love a good challenge of thought. I make the commitment to Kindly, Gently, Lovingly, and Supportively maintain inner peace. - E

No fancy gear needed—your scarf, belt, or random closet treasure works just as well as a yoga strap.

My Grand-Doug🐾 climbed a tree.

Then he got stuck.

When he came down he did a walk of shame.

Like we would judge him.

🌳I've never got stuck in a tree myself but I've fallen out of many tall ones!

Chia pudding is the kind of friend who knows your pace—
shows up ready, no pressure, no chaos, just quiet nourishment.

On low-spoon mornings, this is one of my go-to’s: simple, forgiving, and gentle on a tender stomach.

Each bite feels like a tiny act of self-respect.
A reminder that for spoonies, food isn’t “just food.”

It’s care.
It’s capacity. 
It’s a love letter to the body that keeps showing up.

And because I’m a nerd for a good kitchen tip—shoutout to for the method:

Mix your ingredients → let it sit 5 minutes → stir again so the seeds don’t sink → then jar it.

Place in the fridge and let time be your sous-chef.

By morning? Soft, soothing, and ready to support you.

Last week?

My energy was so off a turtle would've smoked me in a race and still had time for a nap AND a snack. 🐢💤

Some days I wobble.

Some days my energy dips so low I swear a houseplant has more stamina than me.
But here’s the truth I keep coming back to:

I still stand.

I still root myself in who I am.
I still rise, even if it’s slow.
I still hold space for the people I love and for the body I’m learning to listen to.

My branches bend, but they don’t break.
And I’m done pretending that makes me anything less than strong.

I’m good for something in this world—
and I’m not shrinking from that truth anymore.
