“Because at the end of the day the lesson you are ALWAYS teaching your child is how they deserve to be treated. Formation of their inner voice takes precedence over formation of their mastery of behavior. If you "have to say it mean" to motivate a change, it means they are not ready for the change and they need you to find a kind way to say it while they develop that readiness.”
