In the past my raging ADHD has caused various havoc in my life. When I tapped into a curated set of movements that worked for my type of ADHD symptoms I was able to finish my dissertation, organize my life better, manage the depressive symptoms that often come with ADHD and manage eating disorders that sometimes accompany NueroSpicy lives.

I regularly have Mmmbody sessions that:
1. Talk about what specific movements like clapping are doing in various regions of the brain
2. Facilitate sessions that use play in those movements
3. Move one step further by using lineage movements as "healing".

If you are interested in this I can have a session where folks sign up to come.

This Mmmbody Movement Session invites you to explore how lineage (what we carry) and legacy (what we leave) live within the body. Through guided movement, reflection, and playful practice, we’ll awaken the parts of ourselves that have gone still — and embody a future that’s alive, connected, and intentional.

You are never too young to build your lineage or too old to add to your legacy.
Come move, breathe, and remember that your body is your living will.

Mama "Doc" Clo is fresh off of a tour of speaking about: Medi-Play-tion Yakima, Play in Public Health (IDPH Conference) and Play as Disaster preparedness ( Carbondale Civic Center).

Next Sunday September 21st join us at The Healing Moon.

Mama “Doc” Clo will offer a joyful, restorative session of movement as adult play.

In this experience, we’ll explore how play lights up all regions of the brain — from imagination to muscle memory — and use our bodies to connect with both our inner landscapes and the world around us.
Come ready to move, breathe, and reclaim play as a powerful tool for healing, balance, and belonging.

This session combines movement with light discourse so bring your pad and pen.

if you removed the thought ‘anxious’
and just paid attention
to these flickering sensations in the belly?

What would happen
if you took away the word ‘lonely’
and simply became fascinated
with this heavy feeling in the heart area?

What would happen
if you deleted the concept ‘sick’
or ‘broken’ or ‘wrong’
and just got curious about
the tightness in the throat
the pressure in the head
the ache in the shoulders?

What would happen
if you stopped looking for solutions
and checked to see
if there was actually a problem here?

Come out of the exhausting storyline, friend.
Come closer to yourself.
Commit sacred awareness to a single living moment.
Bring warmth to the tender place inside.

Infuse sensation
with the light of attention.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Juneteenth, and to all who wished to join us in spirit. Mark your calendars for our next session on July 20 with Lori!

As we closed the circle on Juneteenth Freedom Weekend, we were reminded that personal emancipation comes from extending—not hiding—our own light. In community, we always have the freedom to grant each other grace, and we must never take our global liberties for granted.

In the words of Audre Lorde:
"When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid."
