A Way Out

A Way Out As a result of our ongoing efforts, many who are motivated to change and who want help can find it.

We provide resources for clients: which includes addiction assessments, treatment solutions, peer recovery support, family support groups, therapy for family members, and financial aid to motivated alcoholics, addicts and their families. A Way Out is a non-profit organization based in the Western Slope of Colorado that provides counseling referrals, addiction assessments, solution oriented programs, and financial aid to motivated alcoholics, addicts and their families. A Way Out’s focus is to support residents of Pitkin, Eagle and Garfield county, who are unable to secure an appropriate level of care to overcome their addiction(s). We focus on providing the expertise and accountability necessary to empower men, women and teens in these counties with addictive behaviors to thrive in recovery. A Way Out was formed to help people who cannot seem to break the addiction cycle and who truly want to find a new way of life. The organization is comprised of caring individuals committed to helping people find a full life in sobriety.

We work closely with individuals and families navigating the challenges of addiction by providing guidance, referrals and connections to care, treatment scholarships, family support groups, family counseling, and aftercare to support long-term recovery.

Because addiction impacts the entire family, our work focuses not only on helping individuals begin their recovery journeys, but also on supporting loved ones as they learn about addiction and enabling, build resilience, and heal alongside their loved one.

We’re grateful for the courage of every client and family member who reaches out and honored to walk alongside them as they build happier, healthier, and more hopeful futures 💛

We offer free counseling sessions and weekly support groups to help families understand addiction, heal strained relationships, and share their experiences in a safe, supportive environment.

Involving families in substance use treatment is a powerful way to help our clients break the cycle of addiction. Many families unknowingly engage in behaviors like enabling and benefit from counseling and education to learn how to best support their loved one. Our Family Engagement Program provides counseling sessions to the families of our clients to equip families with tools to heal relationships and build a healthier future in sobriety together.

We also host a weekly online family support group (in English) and a monthly in-person family support group (in Spanish) for anyone with a loved one who is struggling with addiction. These groups are open to anyone in Pitkin, Eagle, Garfield, and Summit counties looking for support.

Learn more about our Family Engagement Program and access our weekly support group: https://awayout.org/programs/family-engagement-program/

For access to our monthly Spanish support group and other services in Spanish, please give us a call at 970-504-3061.
