One wrong turn can put a hiker, even an experienced one, in an emergency. That’s the lesson of the news story below. The hiker slipped and fell, but what happened next was perhaps even more frightening. Landslides, avalanches, extreme weather conditions, and wild animals can pose a risk when exploring mother nature. The common mistake is thinking a cell phone is adequate protection. Phones often go flying during an injury event and are out of reach. When injured, pain and fear makes every minute feels like an hour. Whether at home or even on a simple neighborhood walk on a local trail, it is always better to be over-prepared than underprepared.
As the local Connected Care and Personal Security Specialist Partner with Electronic Caregiver, we have one goal in mind – saving lives. The company’s connected care technology can make the difference between life and death. Hikers and adventurists who wind up getting lost or injured can call for help at the touch of a button 24/7.
