Time to get back to hosting events.

We are not our trauma. We are how we alchemize it.

We get to choose how we respond to our trauma and experiences. It can be easy to stay in them, even if they are uncomfortable, upsetting, and sad. When that’s what we know and all we know, the thought of choosing another way is scary. We gotten used to the uncomfortable and there is comfort in knowing the pattern.

When we choose to step out of the pattern, it’s new, it’s different, it’s scary. It’s liberating too! We are no longer letting them define us, instead we are using them to shape us into something different. They become motivation for our growth.

Let go, to grow.

I encourage unfollowing people on social media when the energy doesn’t feel right. Sometimes that’s the least you can do because you are following them in real life too.

Are you holding onto their phone number?
Occasionally, texting and calling them to see how they are?
Do you find yourself staring at their number and debate calling them?

Sometimes you need to unfollow people in real life. The thing is, if you are interacting with or following people who do not align with who you want to be, you are holding yourselves back. You’re holding on to a past version on yourself that is crumbling the longer you hold on.

If that seems harsh to you.

Ask yourself these questions:
👉 What are the core values of the people you spend your most of your time with?
👉 How do they spend their free time?
👉 What do they do for fun?
👉 What do they believe in?

Now ask yourself these questions:
👉 What are your core values?
👉 How do you spend your free time?
👉 What do you do for fun?
👉 What do you believe?

Do these two sets of answers align with each other?

If so, kudos on surrounding yourself with like minded people. 🩵

If not, these people are not your tribe. And that’s okay! It’s time to loving let them go. 🦋 It’s time to unfollow them IRL and allow yourself to grow.

It feels even better!
- comes with no hangovers

I’ve been sober roughly 4 years. I grew up with alcoholism in my family and working in entertainment, it was part of my life. Offsite work meetings often included drinks. As my career shifted, my lifestyle shifted too.

Sobriety was a natural progression. The more I learned, studied, and worked with energy the more I noticed how alcohol affected my ability to be present.

One reiki session, changed my life.

It was a couple’s session. I was one of the reiki practitioners along side of my Reiki Master. It was an honor for my reiki master to ask me to co-facilitate the session with her. And…
I was hungover.

Due to a lack of communication when the session was booked. I never got a confirmation that the session was confirmed. I thought it had fallen through because it never made its way to my calendar. I went out with friends the night prior and had a few drinks, nothing crazy. I always got TERRIBLE hangovers.

The next morning, my reiki master texted me 3 hours before asking if we were still on. I explained I wasn’t “prepared” (aka hungover 😵) and she told me to get prepared and meet her in 2 hours.

So…

I rallied. I showered. Got ready. Packed up some oils and crystals. Went to my local smoothie place, got a smoothie and a bag of organic potato chips. Ate them on my way to the session.

Conducted the session and it was fine.
Simply fine. I told no one I was hungover. I felt it during the session. I was focusing extra on being an energetic channel. I was DRAINED after and all the strength I mustered for the session was depleted from all the energy I used to focus.

I felt even worse after the session. Most of that was guilt induced, how irresponsible of me! I was mad at myself and told myself that was the last time I’d put myself in that situation. That remains the last and only time I was hungover for a session.

It was early on in my wellness career shift. I’m not proud of that moment. I acknowledge that I needed an incident like that to get me to change. I’m thankful for that!

F L O W • S T A T E

Flow state has gotten the reputation of meaning that you’re flowing on your productivity and making head way in your work. It’s a gentler way of say, you’re busy working.

Flow state is a way of being in tune with your energy and letting your energy guide you vs. you guiding your energy.

What does that mean?

Instead of letting the pressure of your to do list and all the “I should” tasks weigh you down, check in with yourself and see where your energy naturally wants to go.

When the anxiety and overwhelm creeps in,

PAUSE
1️⃣ Take a big breath: filling up your lungs 🫁 from the bottom to the up.

2️⃣ Hold for 3 counts

3️⃣ Slowly exhale, until your lungs are empty. Imagine your sending out all the chaotic energy with your exhale.

4️⃣ Repeat that breath 2x

5️⃣ Ask yourself, “where does my energy want to go” or “what’s in alignment with my energy in this moment”

6️⃣ Do that. Maybe it’s to dance, meditate, take a nap, go for a workout, spend time with friends or family, etc.

By following what your energy wants to do, you are opening yourself up to receive more by being productive later, when it matches your energy. You’ll naturally flow into productive mode, after you nurture yourself first.

➡️ 2 weeks I went to visit my family because that’s what I needed. Some good ol’ fashion family time and some hugs from my baby nephew (he is seriously the cutest kid ever!). At first, I felt guilty because I had sooooooooo much work to do. I wanted to reach out to clients, create a new website, and scheduling system. I released those thoughts and carried through with the energetic pull to see my family.

Since, ALLLLLL the clients I wanted to connect with, reached out to me schedule sessions, the time presented itself for me to work on my website and create some new coaching offerings, plus another retreat is brewing. All this natural unfolded without any force for me.✨
