National Testosterone Awareness Day!
This specifically speaks about my ladies with EDS.
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is a connective tissue disorder that affects the body’s collagen . The very thing that keeps our joints stable, our skin supported, and our organs protected.
EDS is significantly more common in women than men.
Why? Because women naturally have less testosterone, a hormone that plays a major role in collagen strength, muscle support, and joint stability.
When testosterone is low, symptoms can hit harder — more joint pain, more instability, more fatigue.
This is why so many women with EDS find relief when they focus on:
– Building muscle
– Strength training
– Supporting hormone balance (especially testosterone + progesterone)
– Reducing inflammation
Women aren’t “dramatic.” We’re underdiagnosed, underserved, and dealing with real structural differences in our biology.
If you have EDS or suspect hypermobility issues you’re not alone. 💙
