Happy National Nonprofit Day! Nonprofits are the heart of our communities!

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible work that nonprofits do every single day to make our communities stronger, healthier, and more resilient. The organizations we have the privilege to support are transforming lives in so many ways:

☑️ Serving over 74,000 meals
☑️ Assisting with more than 850 mental health appointments
☑️ Planting 15,000+ trees to enhance our community and environment
☑️ Improving healthcare benefits
☑️ Increasing patient safety in hospitals
☑️ Hosting leadership, life skills, and team-building camps
☑️ Supporting women impacted by betrayal
☑️ Empowering food entrepreneurs
☑️ Reducing food insecurity
☑️ Promoting wellness initiatives for those living with chronic conditions
☑️ Providing funds for housing and basic needs
☑️ Encouraging water conservation
☑️ Educating policymakers
☑️ Advocating for changes that improve the health of our communities
☑️ Fostering respect for people with disabilities
☑️ Preventing animal cruelty and suffering

These accomplishments represent real lives that have been touched, supported, and uplifted.

Which nonprofit achievement has inspired you recently, or left you saying, “Wow, they really make a difference!”? Let’s celebrate them together and keep the ripple of kindness going!

Today, I had the privilege of attending the unveiling of a new program facilitated by one of the nonprofits I work with through Make Kindness Count. It was a moment filled with invigorating clarity as the speaker emphasized the power of innovation and collective action within a community. Witnessing the mayor, commissioners, and various community and nonprofit leaders come together to support this initiative was truly inspiring. Having my daughter by my side made the experience even more meaningful, as she not only witnessed the tangible impact of my work but also the kindness and collaboration of so many individuals. 👏

📧 Email Lists vs. Social Media: Building Strong Foundations

Last week, I enjoyed a webinar that emphasized a powerful truth: Social media is rented, while email is owned. 🏠 This struck a chord with me, and reiterated the vulnerability of losing connections through error or failure of digital platforms. Having a direct line of communication through email, where the connection is more secure, feels more crucial than ever. 🌐✉️

How do you grow your email list? 🌱 What rules or recommendations do you swear by? Let's share insights on fortifying our communication foundations! 💬 AND please, share with me invites to your email list and add your name to mine! Let's all stay connected!

🌞 Embracing Hope Amidst Turbulence 🌞

Last month, Jane Goodall's words echoed through my thoughts, emphasizing a profound truth: "Loss of hope, the birth of apathy."

In times of uncertainty, emerge as the guardians of hope. We're not just here to serve; we're here to rebuild the very foundation of hope.

As we anticipate a year that might challenge our spirits, let's not merely endure; let's come together to build a sanctuary of hope. Our are not just plans; they are the seeds of a brighter tomorrow. 🌱

In this journey through the unknown, let's continue to infuse our collective efforts with warmth, compassion, and a shared commitment to hope.

🔊 Nonprofits are emerging from the last three years, but workforce challenges are still prevalent: lack of qualified candidates, competition for candidates, and salary expectations.

🌟 Navigating the nonprofit journey can feel like 🚶‍♀️ traveling through a foggy landscape—uncertain and a bit 🗻 challenging. At Make Kindness Count, we thrive on clearing the path ahead, turning the fog into clarity.

Our mission is to be your guiding 💡 light, especially when the road 🛣 seems a bit hazy.

🤝 By partnering with Make Kindness Count, nonprofits can alleviate the burden on their existing staff, ensuring that critical services continue without disruption during staffing vacancies. We have experience in Bookkeeping, Development, Program Management, Support/Administrative, Finance, and Marketing/PR/Social Media.
