When I started walking to loose weight and get in better shape, my goal was to walk 10,000 steps by 9/1/24. I hit 10,000 + steps in June and decided to change goal to 20,000 steps by 9/1. Today I reached 20,000+ steps in a day. It took me all day and I am exhausted. My hips will make me pay for this tomorrow, but it's a goal reached.

This is my second month of walking. My goal had been 70,000 steps. I finished with over 227k steps. Let's see if I can m...

This is my second month of walking. My goal had been 70,000 steps. I finished with over 227k steps. Let's see if I can match this in July.

I had set a goal to have at least one day by 9/1/24 where I hit 10,000 steps in a day. This seemed almost impossible considering I was only walking about 1,300 steps a day. I ended up hitting that mark a few times in June.

One thing that has been embarrassingly displayed these last 10 days is how out of shape I am. With work and winter, my activity level was minimal. I averaged just .22 miles per day. Today, at 11:30 am Krakow time, I have 1.3 miles in.

With that, I want to ask everyone to consider signing up for . This is a great group and your investment is minimal. There is no money required (unless you want to buy a tee shirt). All you need to do is log your steps, simple, create your own team, or join an existing team.

This group promotes better awareness of Axial Spondyloarthritis, a potentially debilitating condition that affects more people than MS and ALS combined. I look forward to seeing many of you participate.

Edit: I finished the day with 6,680 steps, which is sometimes a week of walking for me. I’m super sore, but happy. That’s three days this week with 5,000 or more steps.
