Foundations in Behavior

Foundations in Behavior Foundations provides clinical ABA therapy, residential rehabilitation and educational services for those with developmental disabilities and autism.

At Foundations, we pride ourselves on creating individualized behavior treatment plans using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis while focusing on diligent use of reinforcement, prompting, and extinction as well as useful data collection and analysis in the implementation of the following instructional methodologies: Discrete Trial Teaching, Pivotal Response Teaching, Verbal Behavior Teaching, Incidental Teaching, and Natural Environmental Teaching. These methods can be implemented in the home, community, clinic, or school based environments. We provide parent training using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to decrease target/undesired behaviors, by replacing and teaching the individual appropriate replacement behavior skills. We empower parents, teach them using evidence based strategies, and give them the skill sets needed to help them appropriately respond to unwanted behaviors. We provide useful feedback and regular supervision to behavior focused group homes including monitoring of plan implementation by staff, training in basic behavior change procedures, data analysis and analysis of patterns surrounding critical and re-portable behavior incidents. Foundation is pleased to offer certification courses to become a certified practitioner in Professional Crisis Management Association (PCMA). PCM is an advanced system of crisis management. Unlike other methods that teach intervention techniques only after individuals have become non-compliant, agitated or aggressive, PCM focuses primarily on prevention before a crisis occurs. PCM includes Crisis Prevention, Crisis De-escalation, Crisis Intervention, and Post-Crisis Intervention components. PCM utilizes "hands on" competency-based training and written tests to certify that individuals who receive instruction in PCM reach the highest level of skill acquisition. PCM is the only complete crisis management system available that can guarantee successful prevention and intervention with maximum safety, increased dignity and total effectiveness. We accept Medicaid, MedWaiver, CMS and a variety of Private Insurances. We also work with families who choose to use private pay.

This year, the staff and clients of Foundations in Behavior have been working extremely hard to disguise the turkey, so it does not get eaten. But, we need your help. Help us pick the overall most creative and best disguise turkey by voting in the comments. Voting closes at 5 PM tomorrow, November 14, 2023.

** please note, there are two stitch turkeys. When voting, if you like the stitch on the green background vote green stitch if you like the other stitch, just vote regular stitch.

Good afternoon! I have a client who is 30 non verbal, that is moving to Dade City in Pasco County Fl . To be closer to his family
He will be living in a supported living apt and will have 24 hour round the clock staff. The need is for a Behavior Analyst ( he is funded @ level 2 but can have a level 3) and he will not be able to move until one has been appointed. He has been my client for 10 years, unfortunately I cannot make the 2 hour trip every week to give training and services, but will be at the new analysts disposal for on training as needed.

Please message me if you or anyone you know maybe interested. Thank you!
