You don’t have a “cravings problem”… you have an “I don’t know where to put my pain” problem.

Nobody showed you how to hold heavy feelings without disappearing.

So every time life piled on… you outsourced the weight with the quickest illusion of peace.

The bottle.
The food.
The phone.
The bed.
The drama.

Anything that would carry what your heart didn’t feel strong enough to touch.

From the outside, it looks reckless.

On the inside… it’s strategy.

“If I can’t fix this… at least I don’t have to feel all of it right now.”

That’s not stupidity. That’s survival.

Here’s the twist: You were never just “escaping.”

You were trying to buy time.
Trying to live long enough
to maybe figure yourself out later.

And then “later” never came because the habit became the only tool.

You’re not hooked on the substance. You’re hooked on not having to meet your own hurt face-to-face.

That doesn’t make you broken. That makes you unpracticed.

The shift isn’t:
“I’ll muscle my way through every urge.”

The shift is:
“I’m willing to learn how to sit with my pain without handing it to something that keeps me small.”

Once you stop abandoning your hurt to the nearest fix… your cravings stop feeling like commands and start sounding like messages...

Messages teaching you that you can't heal what you can't feel.
