1️⃣ Building a competitive physique takes way more time than I realized. 12 months of intense training and strict macro counting was just the start of building the necessary foundation for a bikini physique.

2️⃣ Food looks different after a prep. With such specific macros you learn to look at food as fuel and begin to enjoy foods that you might never have cared for before. (Like getting excited about a rice cake…with honey!)

3️⃣ Competitive bodybuilding is an INVESTMENT. From heels, to tan and glam. Coaching costs, practice bikini, competitions suit etc…Not to mention entry fees for every division you want to compete in.

4️⃣ At the end of the (show) day, every athlete has put in so much literal blood sweat and tears to be on that stage. But only the one who puts together the best performance gets to take home a title. So being the best means sacrificing normalcy and embracing the lifestyle of an elite athlete.

2 for one! While I’m not a huge supplement person, I’ve always loved the amino energy. First I used it as a preworkout for the mild caffeine, but when I ran out I realized how SORE I GOT WITHOUT IT!

Now that I’m introducing creatine into my diet, the amino + hydration has been PERFECT. It hides the taste and grittiness of the creatine, and with one scoop, it’s only 50mg of caffeine. So I can take it whether or not I plan to workout
