Raise your hand if you have never told a lie! Now that I have your full attention, and you have full use of both hands, I'm going to let you in on a secret. When it comes to lying, everyone who has breath has done it. Having completed more than five hundred polygraph exams to date, I have learned that most people are not pathological liars. Most people lie to avoid a consequence or to gain an advantage. When people decide to lie, they weigh out the cost of telling the truth against the possibility of getting caught telling a lie. Now that dry January is over, I challenge you in March to (1) admit a lie to someone that you have lied to in the past. (2) Try one of the two truth telling strategies listed above to be truthful with someone close to you. It won't be easy, but in the words of Sojourner Truth “I feel safe in the midst of my enemies, for the truth is all powerful and will prevail.”

Choosing a polygraph examiner is no easy task. Besides the negative scrutiny surrounding Polygraph, there are so many choices out there. WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR YOU? I recommend (1) Considering your non-negotiables: Cost, availability, experience, proximity, etc. (2) Call the Examiner/Company: Did you speak with a person or a machine? How did the interaction feel? Was the person informative, approachable, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable? Were your questions answered? (3) What are the examiner's Qualifications: Did the examiner graduate from an accredited polygraph school? Does the examiner follow local and federal rules and regulations as a business owner? Does the examiner belong to at least one polygraph association? Does the examiner complete continuing education requirements each year? Does the examiner follow the rules of the American Polygraph Association?

Finding Google and Yelp reviews about Polygraph Services is not common with Polygraph because usually, people who participate in them would like to maintain their anonymity. The same goes for references. While we have many satisfied customers, they are usually unwilling to admit they have used polygraph services. With so much to consider, remember that polygraph exam results are only are reliable as the polygraph examiner you choose. Choose wisely. Look on the California Association of Polygraph Examiners or the American Polygraph Association website for their member list of examiners.

I am Black history. Crazy, sexy, cool. All parts of me are proudly, uniquely, and unapologetically black. I am the last born child to married parents, and I am just one generation removed from segregation. My mother obtained three degrees (including a juris doctorate) while raising a family and working full time. My father was an entrepreneur who owned several successful businesses. And I am a mixture of both. I hold a Masters degree which I also obtained while working full time@and raising a family. I also have started two successful businesses. Join me in celebrating Black history month, although it’s Black History Everyday for me.
