Our Story

Salem Family Medicine is proud to serve Salem, VA as a General and Family Medical Practice. We treat patients of all age ranges and specialize in whole family care, healthcare for working professionals, and for seniors. We help our patients by treating and managing common conditions like Diabetes, Obesity, Hypertension, and Reproductive Health (Prostate, Pap Smears, etc.) We also treat acute and seasonal illness like the flu, cold, and other community illnesses. Learn more about our practice areas and philosophy at: http://www.salemfamilymed.com/what-we-do Dr. Mark Taylor completed his undergraduate degree at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in 1993 with a BA in Chemistry and a minor in Biology. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University - Medical College of Virginia in 1997 with his M.D. degree. He completed his post-graduate medical education with Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Family Medicine. He is board certified in Family Medicine and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. The core of his practice philosophy has always been centered around building a relationship with the person right in front of him. He wants to work hard to make everyone comfortable in their personal health care and be educated about their options.
