What's up? 🐥Silly girls! My young pullets have decided they like hanging out in the rafters of the chicken run! I would think the chicken wire would be hard on their feet. They are up there more often than not!

I'm growing diamonds in my Bluebonnet plants 😉. We had a light rain shower earlier today, and some of the raindrops are lingering in/on our Bluebonnet foliage! Such a pretty sight, and the photos don't do it justice.

Random post. Have you EVER seen a nearly- right-angled tree limb in nature?? I have not, and have always been a collector of "good sticks." This is off of one of our live oak trees, and I was wonderfully surprised and entertained by it!.

How It Works:
• Adopt: Bring home a new furry family member and score a point for your city.
• Foster: Provide a temporary, loving home for a dog in need and add another point to your city’s tally.
• Doggy Day Out: Spend quality time with a shelter dog and return them to the shelter at day’s end, earning yet another point for your city.

This four-day event not only offers a chance to win the coveted gold, silver, or bronze medal for your city but also includes the added excitement of free adoptions throughout the competition period.

At the end of the competition on Sunday, August 11th, we will tally the points and reveal the top-performing cities on Monday morning. The winning cities will be honored for their outstanding efforts in providing new homes and temporary care for shelter dogs, showcasing the power of community in action.
