Christmas looked a little different this year. It was the first Christmas I’ve worked in a long long time. But I still did my best to soak up every minute of it, it is my fave after all!

It marks my first day of my first retirement!
Scratch that,
First day as a stay at home dog mom!
I’ve dreamt of this day my entire life and it’s finally here! 🤣
Well temporarily. I’ll start my new job this fall.
I’m excited to work on all my home projects (including making this dining room look more put together) and spending the days with Karma Lu and Maci Mae! 🐶🐶

How the cool kids spend Sunday night.
Played Yahtzee and watched Dr.Pimple Popper from our deck.
I think this is my new favorite part of the house!
PS. I lost both games of Yahtzee!

Yesterday was call day,
Let’s face it I never sleep well because I’m not home and I’m worried I’ll miss a call! 🤣
BUT, with the, “I barely slept,” excuse playing in my head I woke up.
With the, “this bed is so comfy” excuse I got out of bed.
With the, “but do I really have time for this?” Excuse I hustled to get dressed and pushed play the second my pre was chugged!
I’m not annoyed I might be tired later, I don’t wish I would have spent more time laying in that freakin comfy king size, AND I’m not late for work.
Instead, I feel more energized and PUMPED to take on whatever this day throws at me!

Surprisingly, I haven’t gotten sick of being home yet! I like having an excuse to just hang around the house. Although I do leave the house still to go to work. But the one thing I’m starting to struggle with a little more is the unnecessary home improvement trips. So right now I’m just working with what I got. Tonight that just happens to be hanging this sign that’s been sitting on my dining room table for the last month!
Anyone else kinda enjoying this quarantine thing?

Your mind will believe what you continuously tell it...
I can braid my hair at 5 am, opposed to, I don’t have time for that.
I’m excited to work a 12 hour shift today, opposed to, this is going to be the longest day ever.
I’m thankful that I’m still able to go to my job, opposed to, I wish I didn’t have to go to work.
