Dom has his every 3 month MRI today, we welcome your prayers! I will update with results. He's been doing really well, still having a hard time sleeping and gets pretty sore when he walks too much, but we'll take it! Also, we're a year past his big reconstruction and transplant surgery and the only major issues are that half is his mouth is paralyzed and he can only open his mouth about an inch from the radiation. Again, we'll take it! It could've been so much worse and I'm eternally grateful for Dr. Patel, Murthy and the entire staff at Akron Children's .

Today Dom turned 16! And he also had his 3 month scans. Everything is still looking good!!!!
This makes me extremely happy. We will have to go to scans every 3 months for the foreseeable future, and i pray we get the same good news as we did today!

Update on Dom 💛🎗️

Dom is doing well, he’s finally starting to get his sleep regulated, which is such a relief. He’s struggled with sleep ever since his surgery last February 😓.

He has a small procedure coming up on the 22nd to have his medi-port removed. It’s a big milestone, and we’re excited to have it gone.

I just want to say how deeply grateful I am for all of you. This has been the hardest thing I’ve ever faced. When I got the news a year ago, I truly didn’t know how we’d get through it. But your love and support held us up in the moments we felt like we might collapse under the weight of it all.

It’s in the worst times of your life that you see people’s true colors, and you’ve all shown such a beautiful rainbow. Thank you. From the deepest part of my soul, thank you for loving my boy. Thank you for your thoughts, your prayers, your love, and your support.

I’ll keep this page active so you can stay updated after Dom’s scans every three months. If you ever have questions or just want to check in, please feel free to reach out.

I’m also still working to get my nonprofit This Is Our Fight off the ground. I have big dreams, big events, and yes, I swear there will be a masquerade ball in a castle one day. It’ll be ticketed, and it’s going to be EPIC.

Together, we’re going to fund research for kids like Dom. We’ll raise money to support them and their families. I have goals, and I’m chasing them. Please follow the This Is Our Fight page for updates on upcoming events.

I am sorry for the late update, but yesterday we didn't have the MRI results. They just came in and Dr Patel said the MRI results look good with no true concerns of disease!!!

So the masquerade ball is going to be put off until next year, unfortunately we could not get the location in time. However we are looking for a location to have a Halloween bash which would include a haunted area, a costume competition, dancing, food, drinks and lots of spooky fun!

In one week we’ll “Light Up the World for Sarcoma.” Our friends at Sarcoma Foundation of America, Inc. ( ) have celebrated this tradition for years, and this year it’s going global! Ask your local landmarks to light up the night with yellow to bring awareness for sarcoma, or shine a light in your own home and post a pic.
