Did you know that we offer FREE Preschool Screenings?
WHAT is a Preschool Screening?

Each child’s session at Preschool Screening will last between 10-15 minutes. The screening is done in a play-based format. Such a format will naturally assess your child’s communication and gross motor skills in a developmentally appropriate manner within the preschool/daycare.

*Permission forms will be sent home prior to the screening date to make sure only those that have signed permission will be seen. The screening is optional and not a requirement.

WHO will work with my child?
● A Speech-Language Pathologist will assess speech (articulation) and language (expressive/receptive) skills.
● An Occupational Therapist will assess fine and gross motor skill development.

WHAT is the purpose of Preschool Screening?
One of the purposes of preschool screening is to identify children who may be in need of further help with either communication and/or fine/motor development. Early identification is important and will help with the transition into kindergarten to help them be more successful.

How will I know the results of the screening?
At the end of the screening, all parent/s who participated in the screening process will be sent a formal Screening Results letter to let them know about the screening outcome. It will be up to the parent to follow-up if further testing is recommended.
