“If you think that hard work, waiting for your turn or loyalty will lead you to success.
You are wrong

Most people wait for direction
Wait for promotion
Wait to be told what to do

Power favors those who move first

Attitude follows behavior

If you want to get rid of imposter syndrome stop acting as an imposter

Don’t resent power
Don’t resent the people that have power
Master power”
Professor Jeffrey Pfeffer, Standford University

This is the reminder many professionals need but few dare to say out loud.

Success doesn’t reward passivity.
It rewards those who move with intention, claim space, and act before they feel “ready.”

Power is not something to resent. It’s something to understand, master, and use responsibly to elevate others.

If you want to silence imposter syndrome, step into the behaviors of the leader you already are.
Action creates identity. Identity creates momentum.

Lead yourself first, then everything else follows.

Take action and learn from real life stories from corporate leaders, how to master the unwritten rules of success.

🚀 New Episode Unleash Leadership Podcast

Leading with Humanity: Storytelling, Equity & Courage with Anita Battle

In this episode of Unleash Leadership, I had the privilege to sit down with Anita Battle, a corporate leader, former educator, storyteller, and equity advocate whose journey spans education, technology, sales, and social impact.

From being a second-grade teacher to leading multimillion-dollar sales teams in tech, and later stepping into global equity work, Anita shares how storytelling, listening, empathy, and cultural humility have shaped her leadership philosophy.

Raised in the Bay Area during a time of activism, union organizing, and social movements, Anita learned early on that leadership is not about power; it’s about service, purpose, and community.

Throughout this conversation, she reflects on what it means to lead as a woman of color, how to build trust in organizations, and why vulnerability is not a weakness, but a responsibility.

Learnings and actions from this episode:

↳ Storytelling: Use stories for privilege. Action: Focus on what audiences know, feel, and do.

↳ Cultural Humility: Practice humility. Action: Use inclusive language and refrain from using idioms that don’t translate across cultures.

↳ Silence: Silence helps processing. Action: Use "tell me more" to encourage curiosity and reflection.

↳ Team Dynamics: Speak last. Action: Let teams "color outside the lines" before sharing views.

↳ Failure: View failure as learning. Action: Tell your team that failure is fine and necessary.

↳ Mentorship: Seek diverse mentors. Action: Find multiple mentors who don’t think like you.

↳ Joy: Model hope consistently. Action: Ask your team, "What brings you joy?" to connect.

Leadership, in this sense, is like widening the aperture of a camera; the more you open the lens to include different perspectives, the more light you let in.

Thank you, Anita Battle for your wisdom and sharing!

Thank you for your presence and connection!

Being called a catalyst on LinkedIn, and finding myself in the top 5%, is something I hold with gratitude and responsibility.

I don’t take it lightly. I know visibility is a privilege, and impact is earned one intentional action at a time.

🔥 What it means to me to be a catalyst

For me, being a catalyst isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about showing up with purpose, sharing what I’m learning, and creating spaces where others feel seen, safe, and inspired to grow.

It means:

↳ Leading with intention

↳ Offering ideas that spark movement, not noise

↳ Building bridges across cultures and experiences

↳ Holding space for honest conversations

↳ Choosing authenticity over performance

↳ Using my voice to elevate others, not just myself

I’m not here to impress. I’m here to contribute.

What being in the top 5% really means

This milestone tells me that the message is resonating. That the work is landing. That people are finding value in the reflections, tools, and stories I share.

But more than anything, it reminds me that:

↳ Consistency matters

↳Presence matters

↳ Community matters

↳ Leadership is felt long before it’s celebrated

I’m grateful for every person who reads, reflects, or takes action because of something I’ve shared.

✨ I’ll keep showing up

I’ll keep learning out loud.
I’ll keep planting seeds.
I’ll keep honoring the responsibility that comes with influence.

If my presence here activates even one person to step into their next level of leadership, then the work is worth it.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s keep elevating each other.

Dear leader,

As you rise and we approach 2026, what must continue in you so that others may rise too in?

1. Continue with PURPOSE

👉🏽 What part of your purpose refuses to be silenced, even in seasons of pressure or uncertainty?
👉🏽 Which actions today honor the legacy you want to leave?

2. Continue with COURAGE

👉🏽 Where are you being called to speak truth with more clarity, compassion, or conviction?
👉🏽 What fear have you outgrown but still act as if it owns you?

3. Continue with GENEROSITY

👉🏽 Who needs your mentorship, your presence, or your example right now?
👉🏽 How can you elevate someone else’s path without diminishing your own?

4. Continue with INTEGRITY

👉🏽 What value in your life must remain non‑negotiable as you grow in influence?
👉🏽 Where do your actions already align beautifully with your principles?

5. Continue with JOY

👉🏽 What brings you quiet joy that you’ve been postponing?
👉🏽 How does joy fuel your leadership more than discipline alone?

6. Continue with LOVE

👉🏽 What would “continuing with love” look like in the moments when it feels least convenient, yet most necessary?
👉🏽How does choosing to continue with love reshape the legacy you are building through your words, actions, and presence?

7. Continue with VISION

👉🏽 What future are you building that is bigger than your current circumstances?
👉🏽 What is one bold step you can take before 2025 ends to honor that vision?

🤩 If someone studied your leadership, what would they say you chose to continue, even when it wasn’t easy?

“Leaders are positioning organizations for the future with internal systems that enable prioritization, communication, and continuous learning.” - World Fifty Group

Leaders who intentionally design internal systems for prioritization, communication, and continuous learning are not just managing the present, they are actively shaping the organization’s future.

By creating structures that clarify what matters most, streamline how information flows, and cultivate a culture where learning is constant, they empower teams to adapt with confidence and purpose.

These systems become the backbone of resilience and innovation, ensuring that people are aligned, informed, and equipped to grow.

Ultimately, the leaders who invest in these foundations today are the ones who will guide their organizations toward sustainable impact and long‑term relevance.
