I'm deviating from the normal messaging of my account because it's on my mind today, so have to share it...
What if the most dangerous weapon in the world today isn’t something you can see—but something you scroll through every day?
Today after listening to Glenn Beck’s recent discussion, “The Warning Hidden in Trump’s Controversial Jesus Tweet,” I can’t shake the idea that social media has quietly become the modern equivalent of a nuclear weapon. Not because it destroys buildings—but because it can reshape minds and turn us against each other.
Think about it… MOST of the posts and images that trigger outrage and division don’t even originate within our own country! That should make us pause. Why would outside voices push content designed to inflame us? Maybe because they understand something we don’t—that if enough division is created, we’ll start tearing ourselves apart from the inside. With just a few clicks, a narrative spreads, emotions spike, and millions of people can be pulled in the same direction—often without realizing it’s happening.
What unsettles me most is how invisible it all is. There’s no explosion. No warning siren. Just a constant stream of media content slowly shaping what we believe, who we trust, and how we see each other. That kind of influence doesn’t just change opinions—it can fracture a nation.
So I keep coming back to this question: are we really thinking for ourselves anymore… or are we being molded more than we realize? Maybe it's time to turn off the TV, the news, and the scrolling on our social media. If it sparks heated emotion, then you know it's a sign it's no good.
Maybe it’s time to quiet the noise—and bring our focus back to what’s real, what’s grounding… God, family, and the life right in front of us.
