Saefkow Training Center provides high-quality CPR, AED, and First Aid training for individuals, families, and workplaces throughout Northeast Ohio. We offer American Heart Association and HSI-aligned courses, including:

Founded and led by Sarah Saefkow, RN, former EMT, our classes are taught with real-world experience from emergency, ICU, and pre-hospital care. Our goal is simple: build confidence, reduce fear, and prepare everyday people to act in emergencies. Classes are available for the community, private groups, schools, churches, and businesses. On-site training and flexible scheduling available.

Preparation starts with me. I have spent hours educating myself on current safety information and getting mentally ready to teach my classes.

Next I prepare my supplies. Getting folders ready with babysitter safety handouts and first aid kits for all of the babysitter safety students in my classes tomorrow!!

Public access to life-saving tools shouldn’t stop at AEDs.

Naloxone (Narcan) is a safe, easy-to-use medication that can reverse an opioid overdose in minutes. With overdose rates continuing to affect communities everywhere, having naloxone available—and knowing how to use it—can make the difference between life and death.

More organizations, schools, and workplaces are adding naloxone to their emergency response plans alongside CPR/AED programs. Just like we teach people to recognize cardiac arrest, we should also be teaching the signs of an overdose:
• Slow or no breathing
• Unresponsiveness
• Pinpoint pupils

The key point: you don’t need a medical background to help. With brief, practical training, anyone can learn how to:
• Recognize an overdose
• Administer naloxone
• Support the person until EMS arrives

Expanding access and education reduces stigma, builds confidence, and saves lives.

If your organization is focused on safety, this is a logical next step.
