Public access to life-saving tools shouldn’t stop at AEDs.

Naloxone (Narcan) is a safe, easy-to-use medication that can reverse an opioid overdose in minutes. With overdose rates continuing to affect communities everywhere, having naloxone available—and knowing how to use it—can make the difference between life and death.

More organizations, schools, and workplaces are adding naloxone to their emergency response plans alongside CPR/AED programs. Just like we teach people to recognize cardiac arrest, we should also be teaching the signs of an overdose:
• Slow or no breathing
• Unresponsiveness
• Pinpoint pupils
