Better than Therapy
Traditional Therapy just doesn't work.

Thats why my clients come to me after years of therapy for their anxiety with little to no relief from their daily anxiety.

They are still EXHAUSTED, WEIGHED DOWN, and FEELING HELPLESS because they've done all the things and their anxiety is still there.

That's why I incorporate mental and emotional release into my programs.

It releases the FEAR, ANGER, SADNESS, GUILT, and SHAME that plays a huge roll in anxiety.

Insomniacs with anxiety…Its hard to be you.

All you want to do is just get some sleep, but the sleep rarely comes

Or if it does, its short lived + you still end up feeling exhausted

The sheer mental exhaustion from worrying about whether you will be able to sleep or not that night is enough to make you want to break down

Let alone EV-ER-RY-THING else running through your mind during the day

and lets not forget about the random bouts of anxiety and panic that further drain you mentally + physically.

Then add in all external stressors like work, family, finances + life and you wonder how you are even standing and functioning

You should be able to just fall asleep at night after all of that but nope, again another night of watching tv, scrolling social, or tossing + turning maybe getting a few hours,  6 if you are lucky of shut eye

You wish the noise in your head and the energy in your body that only comes out at night would just go away so that you can have peace.

Your frustration fuels the anxiety thus fueling the insomnia and round and round you go

Here’s what I’ve learned from overcoming both of these

Make yourself a priority

Make sleep a priority, not just giving yourself 8 hours instead of 5 for sleep - that will just extend the time you are tossing + turning

LEARN HOW TO SLEEP BETTER

Your sleep AND morning habits dictate how you will sleep

Practicing better sleep HYGIENE, yes hygiene like physical hygiene but for sleep, will benefit you greatly!

And then further discover whats at the root of why you aren’t sleeping

When you sleep better, your anxiety gets better also

The most important thing is to know that its ok if you don’t sleep well

Tomorrow is a new day so don’t allow yesterdays worries or the fear of tomorrow, create anxiety in your present

You don’t have to be perfect or change all at once

start small and slow and eventually

You’ll have made great improvements in the quality of your sleep,

& the level of your anxiety
Thus in the quality of your life!

How to keep a processed food diet while living with high anxiety + stress:

Don’t.

The amount of times I see women sacrifice their mental + physical health with processed food garbage is astounding.

I get it though. You were never taught proper nutrition. You don’t have time. Its cheaper (but not really). You’ve tried to change your diet + always fail.

You may not even realize how profound of an impact food has on your mental health.

I didn’t grow up knowing the proper way to eat let alone realize what impact it had on my brain.

Even when I tried to learn, I wasn’t getting information that was up to date, based in current science, or personalized to me - HELLO ONCE SIZE FITS ALL DIETS (vegan, keto, paleo, etc)

In fact, I know it was my vegan diet that influenced the decline of my physical + mental health.

I wish I was exaggerating, but I’m not.

Here’s what I’ve learned.

Ignoring your diet choices, whether the SAD (standard american diet), keto, or vegan, while experiencing high levels of anxiety is going to make overcoming it that much harder.

Sugar + processed foods (including corn, soy, gluten) with food additives, dyes, + processed oils can literally make you feel crazy (you’ll find a lot of this in VEGAN foods)

Caffeine increases your anxiety + anxiety attacks and negatively impacts your sleep

Just because someone says a diet is healthy, doesn’t mean its healthy for you.

Let go of the attachment + identity you hold in eating a certain way

Let go of the attachment + habits to a specific lifestyle

And discover whats right for YOU

Both with food choices AND how that could look for you (ex. meal delivery vs. full home cooking)

So that you give yourself the best chance of overcoming your anxiety holistically

I really shouldn’t be shocked anymore, but somehow I still am…

The results, celebrations, and ahas from my clients in their journey to overcome their anxiety holistically

still manages to take me by surprise

Completely removing caffeine even though she fought to keep this sacred beverage

And then CHOOSING to stay off caffeine because the benefits to her DAILY ANXIETY were that profound.

(This is actually a common celebration among my caffeine consuming clients)

Removing or lowering anti-anxiety, sleep, depression, stomach acid medications after only weeks of working together

AFTER BEING ON THESE MEDICATIONS FOR YEARS

After months or years of bad health reports from the doctors

to finally having their doctors praise their transformation, lower their autoimmune medications, and telling them to keep doing what they are doing.

These are not anomalies

This is what happens when you have the courage to say enough is enough

I AM WORTHY of feeling my best physically, mentally, and spiritually and make necessary INVESTMENTS in time, emotions, and financial into myself.

This isn’t a “job” or a “career” to me. This work, helping women overcome anxiety holistically through transformational coaching is a calling that found me - I did not seek it out.

😴 5 Sleep Hacks you NEED in order to Sleep 7-8 hours per Night.

OMG I WISH I had this list when I was struggling with sleep anxiety.

In my anxiety journey, I’ve learned a lot and did things the hard way - I am grateful for this because now, as an anxiety freedom coach, I am able to quickly identify these common sleep habit mistakes my clients make so that they do not continue to add fuel to the fire of their anxiety + health struggles.

1️⃣ SUPPLEMENT WITH MAGNESIUM

Just properly supplementing this one nutrient alone has had major shifts in my sleep and my clients (and followers who aren’t clients) overall ability to fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up rested. 

2️⃣ AVOID BLUE LIGHT

Blue light from devices suppresses the body's ability to produce melatonin (you need this to sleep and sleep deeply).

Your body + brain are being told its day time not sleep time.

Use blue light blockers on all devices and invest in good night time bluelight blocking glasses.

3️⃣ CREATE A SLEEP SANCTUARY

Do not work, eat, watch tv in your bedroom

Your brain associates different things with different routines and emotions.

Train your brain to view your room and bed as a place only for sleep + relaxation.

4️⃣ QUIT THE CAFFEINE!

Its just giving you a false sense of energy + its disrupting your bodies normal sleep/wake cycles + heighting your anxiety (for starters). 

5️⃣ HAVE REGULAR SLEEP TIMES

Sleeping from 2am-9am is NOT the same as sleeping from 10pm-5am.

You are not getting the same QUALITY of sleep.

And your body's sleep wake cycles operate on an average of your past 5 days of sleep wake. Try to wake up and go to bed around the same time 7 days a week.

Down regulate your nervous system.

Or actively turn off your fight or flight.

You cannot find a solution or be in a right state of mind to make your next best decision when the logic and reasoning part of your brain is turned off.

Here's a familiar example...

When mom goes into labor and new dad freaks out asking where the keys are when they are in his hand - I think I've seen a million movie/TV scenes with this.

Here's one simple way to down regulaye your nervous system.

Go outside and look/stare at nature

Beware that traditional treatment with anti-anxiety medications can be harmful to the brain. For example, benzodiazepines—including Xanax, Va**um, and Ativan—suppress brain activity and can make the brain look toxic (shriveled or low in activity). They have also been found to increase the risk of dementia.

Even more alarming is the fact that deaths from overdoses involving benzos quadrupled from 2002 to 2015, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. And a 2016 study found that the number of prescriptions being doled out for benzos has jumped by 67%. Now, an estimated 13.5 million American adults are popping these harmful and addictive antianxiety pills.

Natural Ways to Soothe Anxiety

Here are things you can do to lower anxiety before resorting to medication.

1. Check for underlying medical causes.

Low blood sugar, anemia, and hyperthyroidism can cause symptoms associated with anxiety. When necessary, addressing those medical issues can help alleviate symptoms.

2. Just breathe.

Slow and deep belly breathing, as well as meditation, can immediately increase a sense of calm.

3. Try hypnosis.

Hypnosis and guided imagery can be very powerful in helping you overcome symptoms of anxiety.

4. Do calming exercises.

Yoga and qi gong can help you achieve a more peaceful mindset.
