Happy anniversary to our Founder, Stephanie Brown Legg!
We have come a long way🩵💚
After finishing her first degree Stephanie returned to West Virginia with a new perspective and renewed purpose to help youth. While working on her second degree she began developing a program and curriculum, and Elevate was born! In a few months we will be 20 years old🎉
What started with a few youth in Charleston, has grown to a statewide program. We evolved from a youth ministry to a student outreach to a student enrichment program to an integrative wellness program.
This evolution was fueled by several factors. Stephanie’s continuing education in counseling, childhood trauma, and healing centered approaches. Working with countless students, listening and observing, cultivating a knack to pinpoint individual and community needs and how to best serve for optimal outcome. As well as her own healing journey. Many of the tools we teach are the very tools she’s used along the way.
Every student that has been a part of the Elevate experience has contributed to our success and legacy. It is your trust, transparency, and strength that has made us what we are today!
And it all started with one women on a mission to heal one child at a time, starting with her inner child.
Thank you all and congratulations Stephanie!
WV Kids are lucky-luck is not found it is made by mindful leadership☘️
